Melody had driven for at least two hours now and Kya had fallen asleep. Melody grinned when she saw a private driveway. She pulled into it and made sure to go slow since it was a little bumpy. She parked the car and glanced to her left to see nothing but the beach and the ocean.

Kya woke up in the backseat and looked out the window in confusion.

"Where's the house?" Kya questioned.

"Kya, there's something you should know about me..." Melody began quietly and then got out of the car. She went towards the ocean, Kya followed her quickly.

Melody stepped into the water and sat down. Suddenly her legs turned into a big, scaly orange tail and Melody's hair turned a orangey blonde color. Kya fell in the sand she was so surprised and her eyes widened.

"You're a....a..." Kya looked stunned.

"I'm a mermaid." Melody giggled and moved her tail in the water slightly. Kya neared Melody in the water and gently touched the tail. It was soft but felt strong at the same time.

"Wow..." Was all Kya could say.

"Now, if you're going to come home with me...you need a tail yourself." Melody smiled and took off a necklace she was wearing. It had a locket attached to it and Melody opened it quickly. Inside there was blue, glowing, jello like goo.

"Come close to me Kya." Melody instructed. Kya nodded and leaned closer to Melody. Melody careful put the blue goo on Kya's forehead. It instantly absorbed into her skin and seconds later Kya grew a big, orange, scaly tail as well. Her hair had turned bluish white.

"This is awesome!" Kya giggled and waded out farther into the water to test out her new tail. Melody watched Kya and laughed. She knew Kya would love being a mermaid.

Slowly Melody swam over to Kya.

"Let's go home." Melody smiled and then went underwater. Kya did the same and they swam farther and farther away from the shore.
