"And so, so he," Novaleen attempted in between laboured laughter, "woke up to a whole different class with a unibrow on his face!"

"You're joking! And the teacher did that?" Zayn replied through his own chuckles.

"He was a bit wonky. Then the kid ran off to his next class, completely unaware. Almost made it to lunch without anyone telling him!"

"That's insane. My school was completely chill, the teachers were all nice and we got along with all the social groups."

"Lucky duck. I swear my classmates still haunt my dreams."

"That--oh."

"I was joking, Zayn. It was a joke."

"Woops."

"Hashtag shush up."

"Hashtag never."

"Hashtag what are we doing."

"Hashtag being hip and cool."

"Hashtag I already am."

"Hashtag me, too."

"Hashtag you're the coolest."

"Hashtag awh, thank you!"

"Hashtag you're very wel--"

"Hashtag be quiet, please," the young woman whispered, startling her companions. She shook her head and tried to listen to the distant voice she just couldn't make out.

"What's up?" Zayn asked, nudging his foot slightly against Novaleen's, who's face flushed red as she grinned.

"I think there's an, uh, announcement? About the train. I can't hear the voice anymore--"

"Hello, passengers!" a cheery lady announced from right next to the young woman's ear, making her jump. She noticed it wasn't Sarah and sighed. "I'm here to announce that the train is going to be up and moving in just one minute! Please stay seated as of now and enjoy the remaining hour until London. Thank you."

The three groaned out in disappointment.

"A whole 'nother hour," Zayn murmered.

"I'm going to slip into a coma," Novaleen added.

"I'm going to have to cancel my shift for tonight...," the young woman fretted.

They exchanged tired glances.

"I have a suggestion?" Novaleen started, perking up hopefully.

"Go ahead."

"Hm?"

"Let's go out for dinner tonight! We all have stuff we need to do, but I doubt any of us will be bothered with doing it tonight. So, let's hang out. We're all sick of this stupid train, but I'll miss the both of you already."

The topic was thought of.

"Sure." Zayn nodded.

"I... guess I could," the young woman agreed.

"Fantabulous! Now, I have no idea what's in London so you two decide where we're going."

"I know an alright pasta restaurant on Main. Not anythin' fancy but it's not a dive, either," Zayn suggested. The young woman pursed her lips.

"On Main? Uhm... That, well, I thought it shut down Tuesday."

"Did it? Ugh, now where am I supposed to go for spaghetti?"

"I could cook you some," Novaleen suggested. "It isn't that difficult, really. I could even teach you!"

"That'd be lovely of you, really..."

The young woman blocked out her new friend's voices once again, feeling her body tense up as the train lurched to a slow forward momentum. Trees started passing by faster and blurrier.

3:17, the train starts up once again.
