I don't wanna be here
I tap my pencil on my notebook and stare out the window.
"Courtney do you have the answer?" Mrs. Black asks.
"Answer to what." I ask confused.
Everbody starts to laugh and I just put my head down.
I seriously don't want to be here. I want to be I'm a meadow. I want to see the flowers and I want to feel the wind in my hair. I want to be in a meadow.
I take a deep breathe in and out and I relax.
Suddenly everything goes silent... I pick my head up and look around... I see flowers and I feel the wind. I start to panic and then before I know it, There's the class and Mrs. Black.
"Hey are you alright?" Felix pokes me with his pencil.
"I-I-I was In a meadow and and now I'm here." I stutter.
The bell rings and I jump. Felix takes my arm and takes me outside.
"Courtney what's going on with you?" I look into his worried eyes and I calm down some.
"It's probably nothing." I hug my books and walk away.
I walk. I just keep walking and walking. I don't stop walking until I'm sitting under the tree I was earlier this morning.
I take a deep breathe in and out and I relax.
I wanna be in a meadow.
I open my eyes but nothing happened. I'm still sitting under the same tree in the same place.. But something does feel different. I have a feeling someone is there with me.. I quickly look around.
No one.
"What's going on...?" I whisper to myself.
You know it's not good to talk to yourself.
I jump. And look around again... Still nobody here.
"Just my imagination." I brush it off and get up.
Nope I'm still here.
I continue walking.
Don't ignore me. I'm some one Who can help you.
"Who are you...?" I whisper making sure no one heard me.
My name is Ace, and I know you have the Shadow element.
"That's extremely creepy and how can you help me."
That thing where you went to the meadow, yeah I can help you with that and your other powers as well.
"Other powers...? What do you mean."
Yes other powers. Like mind control and stuff. You can also read people's minds.
"Tell me how to read people's minds." I demand.
Simmer down tiger. You'll get there. Now Courtney I want you to try to go back to the meadow again.
I accidentally bump into someone. Justin. He is the school flirt. He flirts with every girl.
"Sorry about that Justin." I can feel my cheeks heating up.
"Don't worry about that baby girl. It's all good" He moves the hair out of my face and I look into his green eyes. He winks then walks away. I stand there for a moment.
Hello. Earth to Courtney. I'm still here you know.
"Oh yeah. What did you need?" I look around. "And I forgot you were in my head."
Try to go to the meadow again.
I relax and I take a deep breath.
I want to be in the meadow with the wind in my hair.
Everything goes silent and I open my eyes and I'm sitting under a tree.
"Now what Ace" I ask.
"Ace???" I don't feel like any ones with me anymore...
I close my eyes again and open them to see I'm back in school. Probably running late to class. I start walking looking at my feet and I end up running into some one. I look up to see Felix.
"Nice job with what you did back there." He smiles.
"What? Back where?" I look at him funny.
"The whole thing with Justin. I advice you to stay away from him. He looks like trouble." He starts walking away.

I walk into the lunch room and every body looks at me. I stare at my shoes while I walk so I don't have to make eye contact with anybody. I feel someone grab my arm. Justin.
"Hey baby girl. Why don't you come sit with me today?" he pats the seat next to him. I sit next to him and he puts his hand around my shoulder.
I can see you are in a bit of a situation. Perfect timing to try mind control. Now I want you to stare into his eyes and focus. Focus on something you want him to do.
I stare into Justin's eyes and I picture him taking his arm off of me and moving tables.
He does exactly that.
Good job!! Now you have two things you know how to do.
"What Now?" I ask.
"What Now what?" Felix asks as he sets his tray down.
"It's nothing." I say stealing his French fries.
"Go get your own." he smacks my hand.
" Felix meet me at my place after school, I need to talk to you about some stuff." I say while taking more French fries.
Courtney I'm still here.
His presence is really strong it feels like he's actually right here with me..
I snap out of it when Felix waves his hand in my face.
"Sounds good Court-" Justin cuts him off
"Hey Courtney can I talk to you?"
I look over at Felix and he shakes his head no. I get up and walk with Justin. He takes me out of the school and into the parking lot. My brothers come out of no where and they throw water balloons full of paint at me. I just stand there as they keep throwing them. Felix runs outside to see what's going on. He stands in front of me and protects me. I fall to my knees. I listen. Everybody's outside now. Screaming freak and outsider at me. Felix picks me up and puts me in his car.
When we get to my house I just run up stairs. I lock my bedroom door and I lay in my bed and cry until I fall asleep.
