I woke up to knocking on my door.
"Courtney? Open your door"
I sit up and swing my legs over the bed.
I honestly don't want to move.
I look at the door and think about it moving.
The door opens and reveals Felix standing there with a screw driver.
"You wouldn't let me in, so I had to unlock it my self." He smiles and sits down next to me. I lay back down and face the wall. He puts his hand on my back. "Are you okay?"
I nod and close my eyes.
"I'm running away..." I roll over and look at him.
He looks at his hands for a few minutes.
"I'm coming with you." He whispers and gets up and walks to his car. I watch him leave. I get up and walk into the bathroom.
You're really going to run away?
"Go away Ace."
Where are you planning to go.
"I said go away." I hit my head with my hand.
That's Not going to do anything. You can't get rid of me.
"What do you want then? I don't want to talk to you!"
I just want to know where you are going.
"Honestly Ace... I don't know. I'm just running away." I quietly say while wiping the paint off my face.
Don't go. It's not safe.
"JUST GO AWAY ACE!" I feel the tears sliding down my face. "You don't know what's safe for me." Suddenly I don't feel his presence anymore.
"Courtney are you okay?!" I look into the doorway to see Felix holding a bag. "Who were you screaming at???"
I want to shut the door so he goes away... But my body won't let me move. I think about the door shutting and I move my hand to motion I want the door shut.
It slams shut.
"Courtney!! Open this Damn door."
That was great. Now try opening it.
"Ace I said go away." I faintly say.
Just do it.
"Who's ace??" I hear Felix pounding on the door.
I imagine the door opening and I move my hand to the right.
The door opens and Felix charges in.
"What the hell is going on? How did you do that without moving? And who the heck is Ace???" Felix looks so worried. I stare into his bright red eyes. He looked like he had been crying.
"Felix.. I'm so-" I was interrupted by the front door slamming.
"Courtney where the hell are you?!?!" It was Ian...
I looked at Felix and motioned him to stay. I tiptoed to my door and shut it. I started packing a bunch of clothes and my money I had been saving for years. When I returned to my bathroom and shut the door, Ian ran into my room. I could hear him walking around so I motioned Felix to follow. I opened the window and crawled out.
So there we are. On the roof of my house with my brother looking for me. After Felix came out the window I shut it and crawled to the edge.
Don't do this Courtney.
I ignored Ace and swung my feet over the edge.
