"What are you doing right now, sweetie?" my mom asks on the phone.

"Just doing some calculus," I say. Well I'm not really doing it because she's distracting me. I'm not a girl of multi-tasking.

"Isn't it night time? Shouldn't you be out with your friends?" she asks.

I scoff," what friends?"

I hear her sigh," I just want what's best for you. Momma has some few things to take care of before I fly back there so I have to take care of them now. I'll chat with you later. Bye lovey."

"Bye mom," I say, hanging up. I had my laptop out and a whole bunch of calculus homework. It was really easy but I'm so distracted right now. I hate being distracted because I never get anything done.

"Phoebe," Martha says. I look up and give her a smile. "I made some vegetables and chicken. They're all on the table. Do you need anything before I go to bed?"

She's so cute, it makes my heart hurt. "Of course not, I can make my own food," I say as she smile. "How about you sleep in tomorrow? You deserve it."

"Thank you," she says, walking into her bedroom. Martha is the kindest person I know... Maybe because she's getting paid to cook and clean but I still love her like a grandma. My grandma lives in Vegas, she's having the time of her life.

"Miss, there's someone here for you," a security guard says.

"Send him in," I respond, writing my calculations on paper. I get out of my seat and walk to the pots on the stove. Broccoli, carrots, peas, chicken. Delicious. I take a plate from the cabinet and fill it up. I return back and see Harry sitting across my seat.

"Oh my god, you scared me," I say, putting the plate down. I take a seat and shut off my laptop. "Well since you're here, would you like something to eat?"

He shakes his head," Liam told me what happened," he says as my jaw drops. That two timing butt. "And before you get mad, I had to bribe him."

"So what exactly did he say?" I ask, chewing on my broccoli and solving my equation. Harry's arm reaches across the table and takes my pencil away. "Excuse me, I have to finish that."

"You can do that in your sleep," he says. Good point. "I'm sorry that Natasha got a hold of my phone. She snuck into the house and went into my room when I was taking a shower. I didn't know she was there, I really didn't. I don't know how I can prove that to you."

"Why'd you make all the guys leave?" I ask.

He scoffs," because they're annoying whenever I have a girl over. They always tease me and tell them embarrassing stories. I didn't want them to annoy you. And I know you have a thing for Niall."

I start to blush but I look away," you promised you wouldn't back out on me."

"But I didn't back out on you," he strongly states. "I waited for you all night after I kicked Natasha out. I just figured you had some a meeting or something. I called you and everybody the next day because I was worried that something happened to you."

"Why were you so worried?" I smirk.

He rolls his eyes," because I like you and I want to get to know you better. I'm not the same guy that Liam described to you. That was me back then... Even on tour for some relief. But I'm really done with that. If I do go out and get drunk again, you can leave me for good."

"Watch your mouth Styles," I say.

"I'm serious," he says, handing me my pencil back. His arms are really long. "And how many guards do you have? Do you give the night ones special treatment?" he smirks.

I scoff before throwing one of my peas at him," you're a dick."

"And you're a smart ass, remember?" he says, raising an eyebrow.

I roll my eyes," you're a dumb ass."

"So teach me some of your... Whatever you're doing right now," he says, pointing to my homework.

"This is calculus, gorgeous," I laugh. "I think you should stick with algebra."

He smirks," did you just call me gorgeous?"

Again, I throw my peas at him but he catches them in his mouth," now that we're all good, I'll see you at school tomorrow?" I ask.

"You're kicking me out?" he asks as I shrug. "How about a grab a plate of food and we'll just sit here and take baby steps? No funny business."

"Whoa, the famous Harry Styles is taking baby steps with an ordinary girl in the state of New York? This would make such a newspaper headline," I say as he laughs.

"You're not just an ordinary girl," he says before taking a plate from my cabinet. That's really weird how he knew where it was. Since we're on good terms and he actually wants to date, I can't tell him about Stanford. That'll ruin everything.
