Klaus's POV
I still can't believe that Caroline was abused by Damon and she still sees the good in him. We were now walking on the woods in silence after what happened.
"Klaus, I'm sorry for yelling at you, it's just... You are in Enzo's body and if any of them finds out about the truth, they might... They might hurt you or something like that..." Caroline said breaking the silence.
"Is this your way of saying you don't want me to be hurt?" I asked smirking.
"Stop with the smirking, it doesn't work in that face... And yes, I worry about you."
"So my smirk works on my real face?" I asked with a big smile.
"Oh, shut up."
"Continue to deny yourself, but we both know that you care about me more than you liked."
"You have the same problem... Do you think I don't know that you sometimes hate how much you care about me?" She asked smirking, I looked at her beautiful eyes and then her phone ring.
"I guess Enzo is calling me..." She said showing me her phone.
E: Hey gorgeous! I know this is going to sound strange but...
C: I know about the switch bodies.
E: What? How? And who's body is this?
K: It's mine. You should feel lucky to be in my body.
E: And who are you?
K: Klaus Mikaelson, but I know that you call me the hybrid.
E: What? This is the body of the dude that Caroline had a thing for.
C: Shut up Enzo!
E: I still think I am much better looking than him...
K: In your dreams.
C: Why did you call me?
E: For letting you know what happened and for know how you guys are...
C: That's so sweet! Bonnie is still sad but she sometimes entertain Damon. Damon is crushed, I never see him like that not even for Katherine. Stefan is holding up but he is really sad. Matt is now working for the police and is trying not to think about all the deaths and Tyler is still a dick, but he is a dick suffering because of Liv and Elena.
E: And how are you leading with everything blondie?
C: Okay I guess... I am not having a lot of time to think about it because I am helping Klaus with this switch body thing...
E: Just promise me you won't turn it off again.
C: I promise. Bye. I call you later...
"Love, what did he mean with turn it off again?" I asked
"I kind of turn it off after my mother's funeral..." She said looking at the ground.
"What made your turn back on."
"Elena, Damon and Stefan put me in a room, and when I was too weak they make me imagine my mom... She was the reason that I start to feel..."
"I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me."
"You didn't know." She said with a weak smile and I hugged her.
"You didn't deserve this."
"You also didn't deserve the pain you felt all your life. It sucks, but this is life..."
"How can you still be so... good?" I asked.
"I believe that all of us have a dark and a light side. For some of us it's easier to be dark for other of us it's not. What am I trying to say is that all of us do horrible things ..." She said with a genuine smile, then added "We better go."
We went back to the Salvatore's and Damon looked at me shocked.
"I am sorry, I didn't know..."
"Sorry mate. I shouldn't have acted like that."
"No. It's okay, first it was Maggie and then it was Caroline. I know that you guys are just friends but..."
"It's okay."
"Now that you guys are friends again, I think I better go." Caroline said.
"Yeah, me too. I am a little tired".
I went with Caroline to her house and she got a message
"you are in trouble Klaus." She said with her eyes more opened than usual, she showed me the text:
"To: Caroline
From: Klaus
Tell the hybrid that I found a witch and I am going back to my body. Bye Enzo ;)"
"It's okay love. I don't know how much time I have left in this body so listen to me." I said and she nodded, we seat on the couch and I continue "I will be in New Orleans, but I don't know for how long. I will probably change number, so I will text you with my new number. I need to run away from a person, but don't worry, I am going to be okay."
"Klaus, I will always worry about you. I..." she said with tear in her face
"I am going to be okay. I know that you care about me, so I will text you every day... I just don't invite you because I know how much is dangerous and I... care about you en0ough to wait to see you again. Just promise you won't forget about me?"
"Even if I try I couldn't... You are the one who makes me smile in my worsts days and I..." she was saying when I passed away
Caroline's POV
