I know while you read the book you're gonna think "Hey it's a lot like Soul surfer!" but listen I LUV that movie but this book is different then the movie Soul surfer. Trust me just read the book. I thought I'd let you readers know since one of my unsupportive "friends" pointed it out when I told him about it. So please read! Hope you enjoy.

Catch a Wave

~Prologue~

My name's Lilo Peterson, and I live in Honolulu Hawaii. Surfing is my whole life! I've been surfing with my family since I could walk. I have an older sister Lela, an older brother Trevor, and a younger brother Todd.

I also have a Boston terrier named Stitch. (I loved the movie Lilo and Stitch when I was younger so when I got Stitch I thought it would be cute, since I love Stitch and I do everything with him. Even surf!)

I have been in tournaments for surfing as long as I could remember. At one of my first tournaments is when and where I met my best friend Dani Gibbler. I also met my boyfriend Brad at one of my last tournaments. I've won 1st place in many tournaments.

Many people are afraid of surfing because of sharks, or drowning. When you are born to surf like me, you never worry about that stuff. When you stand up on that surf board and smell the nice ocean breeze, the droplets of water on your face, and the wind in your hair your mind is empty and you have no thoughts except to catch the biggest wave possible.

My whole life all I cared about was surfing. All I ever thought about was surfing. The thing I look most forward to was surfing. What I enjoyed to do with my family was surfing. Surfing was my hobby scratch that, surfing was my life, its what keeps me alive.

I only cared about the best surfer I could be, but that all is going to change!
