Liana was sleeping soundly under the blood red coral. The door to her room slowly opened. Liana didn't hear, she slept like a rock. A tiny crack of light entered the room as the door creaked open.
Stepping inside, the intruder crossed the floor and approached the bed where Liana lay.
He pulled out a syringe, and hesitated for a brief second. Sighing, holding the syringe filled with green glistening liquid, he plunged it right into her heart.
Liana sat up in her sleep and screamed, eyes still closed. As the intruder pulled the syringe out, she lay back down. He looked at her, and a flash of uncertainty flickered across his eyes. He left quickly.
A shadow flickered across the ceiling as the door closed again.
Liana slept soundly, not knowing that she was changed forever.
