̶E̶g̶g̶'̶s̶  Michael's Pov

I sighed as I scratched another line into the wall with my screwdriver. Stepping back at my growing collection of marks, the sense of guilt I felt over doing it faded more with each time. Were these even accurate, probably not. I was just doing them anytime I woke up. "Please proceed to the Control Module." I rolled my eyes, sliding the screwdriver back into the belt around my waist.

"Yeah yeah I know." I muttered, grabbing the Handunit off the bed. Sliding it into the harness on my back. Walking into the hallway, thankfully the rooms were well sealed. So the smell of rotting hadn't gotten here. Some spray foam just fixed what wasn't already sealed off. My footsteps were quieter than last time, good. I've been getting quieter with each time. Walking into the elevator and tapping the button panel. Just so it made the noise. The doors closed and the elevator jolted as it started moving upwards.

I looked off to the side, chewing on my lip absent-mindely. The already raw skin giving easily to my teeth. I scowled slightly as the irony taste of blood entered my mouth. "Not again." I muttered, reaching up and wiping my mouth with my sleeve. A new red stain covering the already stained sleeves. Stained with older incidents of blood and with grease and oil. I sighed, letting my arm hit off my thigh as I let it fall. "I need to stop doing that." I muttered.

The elevator jolted again as it stopped, going dark as the red button lit up. I reached out and pressed it. The doors sliding open to the vent that led to the Control Module. I got down on my hands and knees and crawled in. My movements echoing in the small space with a volume that made me cringe. How did Ballora not know right away that I was in her room? It was literally so loud. No matter how many times I did this.

I peeked out as the Control Module came into sight. I never saw an animatronic in here, but it didn't hurt to be safe. Seeing it was clear, I got into position and dropped down onto the grate covering the lights. Walking over to Ballora's panel just waiting for Handunit to activate the buttons. "Now, it's time for your daily tasks. Which will include some maintenance on Funtime Foxy. But first let's check on Ballora, please press-" The buttons activated and I pressed the blue button. Not letting Handunit finish. The lights flickered on behind the glass, yep she was there. Thankfully I didn't have to shock her today. Though maintenance on Foxy was going to be annoying.

"Great, Ballora is in working order. Please move onto Funtime Auditorium." The vent slid open behind me. I turned around and got down, climbing inside. I'd just have to check for Freddy and Bon-Bon, but they liked the breaker room best. I climbed through the much shorter vent system. Grabbing my flashlight and shining it around. The darkness of the room seemed to swallow the light, but I didn't see any immediate signs of Freddy. So I left the vent, keeping an ear out for his familiar voice lines. Walking through the room. Thankfully he wasn't here so I got to the Parts and Service risk free.

Inside was Foxy, seemingly powered off, sitting on the bench. Handunit speaking up from it's place on my back. "Great, now please press Foxy's cheek buttons to open the faceplates. Be sure to press them at the same time." I cautiously stepped in front of Foxy. There was no way they were off, they acted off, but I knew better.

I slowly reached out, trying not to activate the motion sensors too badly. Slowly pressing the buttons on the cheeks, a click sounding off at each side at the same time. I sighed softly, the faceplates opening with a speed that nearly hit my hands. Making me jerk back, Foxy shifting at the movement, head snapping at attention. Yellow eyes meeting mine, crap. I froze, my blood freezing in my veins. As Foxy's voice box crackled to life, mimicking Hand Unit's voice. "Great, now step closer Eggs Benedict."

I held my breath, not daring to move. If I moved, they'd snap forwards. Stay still, stay still Eggs- Micahel! Damn it, stop messing up, you're Michael, stupid!" I scolded myself, I've been slipping up more and more often. I didn't like what that implied. But I kept myself still. Not slapping my head like I wanted to. Handunit spoke up again, the actual Handunit. "Great, now you have access to Foxy's bowtie. Pull the leaves of the bowtie outwards." I didn't move, I had to wait for Foxy to calm down again. Handunit repeating the message another time before Foxy's eyes dimmed again.

Okay, careful, they're already on alert. Slow movements. I slowly extended my hands, grabbing onto the leaves on each side of the loop. Pulling them out on their rods, until I hear the click of them locking in place. Handunit speaking up. "Perfect, that will open Foxy's voice box. Please remove it, another employee will replace it next shift." I counted to thirty slowly, before making and grabbing Foxy's voicebox. No one would ever come, I knew that by now. No one came in or out. It was just me. But somehow they always stayed active anyways. Like the animatronics were repairing themselves, I wouldn't be surprised at this point.

"Perfect, now return back to your dorm. That completes your daily tasks." I stepped back, slow and even. Not moving my eyes off Foxy. Tensing as their eyes lit up. Just as my foot settled on the rim of the doorway, landing unevenly and sliding off. I stumbled, and Foxy lunged forwards with a cry.
