Rose's necklace
My first thought was, What the hell? How is it possible for her to see me? She's human.
I look up at the girl with ginger hair and big warm hazel green eyes
All that is going through my mind is
how is this possible?
There hasn't been a human seeing a ghost since the late 1800's, hey I ask around even if they don't talk to me I still having amazing hearing from their gossiping.
She doesn't look frightened, like she is used to seeing a ghost before. Very odd.
I did not dare to speak, for one even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to do that because of my state of shock. She opens her mouth to speak, but before she does I whisper, "Please don't scream."
Luckily she doesn't. She smiles warmly at me and asks, "Are you alright?"
I nod, "Yo-you can see me?" I ask stuttering at the beginning of my sentence. She nods and laughs lightly, "Well I'm a little different than anyone else." That's when my excitement overtakes my mind.
"Oh My God, you can get me out of here!"
I pull her up from the grave she was sitting at ignoring the glares of the ghost spirits they were sending me burning through the back of my head. I race her to the door, but my excitement clouded my mind forgetting it was locked.
My face fell as I hit the lock over and over with the hilt of my sword trying to break the lock but it was no use. My anger taking over and taking it on the lock that held a door between me and anwsers I so desperately needed.
The girl who's name I needed to get saw my face and looked at me with sympathy. "How would be able I help you?" She asks I look over at her and say, "You can get me out of here, I've been stuck here for 20 years and this is my chance to find out about my life and what I am." I reply.
She nods and questions, "How would I do that?"
"You are human, correct?" I ask. She nods slightly before tilting her hand side to side. "Most of what I know, yea." She anwsers."Well you can see through the mist whereas any human can't, but you are special and can help me, well only if you do help me." I say looking at my sword in my hands.
She smiles, "I only help people who's names I know." She says. I smile back for once and say, "Rose."as i hold out my hand trying to come off as friendly. Her smiled gets bigger as she says, "Hazel."And shakes my hand before dropping it by her side. "Now I see your trying to get inside this door, but it's locked?"I nod sadly. "Well your in luck, because I have some bobby pins." I look at her confusion on my face. What in the world are bobby pins? She laughs when she sees my confused expression.
She pulls out two small pieces of metal that were clamping down on her hair to hold it in place and shows them to me.
"You can pick locks just like this one with these two small things." She says as she puts both pieces of metals in the lock and starts twisting them around until we heard a click.
She pulls back and puts the bobby pins back in her hair as she just opens the door. Inside were shelves full of books that looked ancient. Books of leather binding spines, the smell of old books flooded my senses as it brought back a vision in my mind haulting my steps as I see a girl similar to me sitting in a library like the one we are in right now curled up reading a book by a fire. The vision felt familiar for some reason. As if that was me in that library. I snap out of my little world and start to walk around dragging my hands across the old books.
"So what are we looking for?" Hazel asks. As I do I through a book about dragons. "Anything on supernaturals that drink blood, doesnt age and has fangs."She gasps and goes over to the V section where she pulls out a dark black book with scarlet lettering. She opens it up and flips through it before landing on a certain page and showed me it. I glance down at the page with the title of...."Vampire." I say finishing my thought put loud. Suddenly different voices appeared in my head, and started speaking all at once.
I groan and hold my head as the thoughts and voices became too much and started giving me a massive headache.
I close my eyes as the pain still lingered in my mind.
And then the thoughts hit me again...hard as I see a woman with dark hair and silver eyes hold a girl with the same features as the woman the same girl in my library vision.
They both smile and fangs show as 3 boys come out. 2 were around the same age as the little girl as they run up to hug her and the man held the woman before smiling down at the children.
Suddenly the girl looks at me and says, "Rose." I gasp as she's says my name again but am brought back when I see Hazel shaking my shoulders saying my name.
"Are you okay?" I groan before shaking my head. "I just saw something, a memory I'm guessing of a family of fanged people_vampires, you say? There was a little girl who looked like me. She looked so happy. I was happy, I had a family."
I say as tears running down my face. Hazel comes over to me and hugs me gently. I was stiff before giving into the hug and sobbing as I wished how much I wanted that to be true.
I quickly wipe up my tears and she says, "How did you end up here?" I sigh before answering.
"I woke up in a coffin like thing dressed in battle gear, a sword strapped to my hip with a necklace around my neck." As I hold up the pendant.
"I have no memory for anything except for my name that barley came to me in a whisper in my mind. That memory was the first thing I remembered. I was trapped here because they wouldn't let me out. The mist didn't help as it hid me from the mortals. You are the first to see me."
She looked at me with a determined look on her face before saying, "I'll help you, now how do I help you get out of here."
