Hazel's POV
"So how are you going to help me with finding my family?" Rose asked.
She may have not noticed but she had a slight accent, I just couldn't put my finger on what type of accent it is, but it was there.
"Well I also have another gift that I haven't mentioned."
"Well what is it?"
I sigh and say, "I can see a past of a person by touching an object of theirs. Say if I touched my ring, I would see me getting it for my 12th birthday, do you get my gift and how it can help you?"
"Yea but the thing is I don't have anything from my past."she says in one breath.
"What about the necklace you're wearing?"
"I don't know, when I woke up in the tomb I had it on."
"Well let me see if it could help."
She nods and I come closer to her, and touch her necklace slightly, from that small touch I was taken back to a time that looked like it was in the 1800's.
Flashback.
A woman with dark black red hair and silver eyes comes and finds a girl around 13 that looks very familiar to Rose.
The girl was crying and the woman asked whats wrong.
When she said those words it sounded like windchimes,
her voice was so soft amd sweet.
Rose looks up and says, "Mom, Sam rejected me, saying he doesn't like me."
Rose hiccups at the end.
The mom smiles and as she smiles you can see fangs.
Vampire
Anyway she says "Boys are immature, they don't understand half of what they are saying."
The mom pauses before continuing, "When you guys get older then he will understand."
The mom smiles slightly at Rose.
She gets up and holds her hand out for Rose to take.
Rose takes her hand and the mom leads them both outside with a beautiful oak tree with a home made swing around one of the branches.
They lay down on the grass and soak up the moonlight, and gaze up at the stars.
They sit in silence enjoying the night until the mom says quietly,
"I used to come and sit outside as a girl for reassuring."
"Reassuring for what?" Rose asked confused
The mom smiles a little and says
"That some things in life are beautiful and not all is bad."
The mom unclasps the necklace she is wearing and puts it around Rose's neck.
Rose gasped and says quickly,
"But mom, grandma gave that to you."
The mom smiles again showing her fangs again.
"I know, but I want someone to take care of it for me."
Rose smiles wider showing her fangs as she smiles she admires the necklace.
It was a pressed red rose in glass increasing with silver lining. The exact one Rose is wearing right now. The mom them turned serious.
"But you have to remember you can't skip out on your training. It's very dangerous. November 15 is coming soon and you have to prepare. Even though you are so young, you need to be ready."
Rose groaned and said,"Why mom, you haven't told me what will happen." The mom sighs before saying,
"Your powers will unlock on that date. And if it doesn't the possibility of your powers coming out will increase as each year goes by. 20 years is the most for the powers to be held back. So you have to be ready no matter what." Rose looks down and says, "Yes mama."
She then stares at the necklace and the mom see her staring before she says,
"Can you take care of it for me?"
Rose nods and they hug, but pull away when a man around the moms age with dark hair and blue eyes comes out and says,
"I knew I would find you two here."
Rose grins and shouts
"Dad!"
"Hi princess." he says as he hugs her. Then two other kids came out, both were boys with dark hair but different eyes than Rose and the mom.
"Rose!" One of the boys shout
"Nathan!" she shouts with excitement. Nathan looks around 15 while the other boy looks around 5.
The small boy runs to Rose with his small arms open. Rose smiles and says
"Hey Jacob."
Nathan gives rose a pointed look and says sternly,
"Don't you ever isloate your self like that again."
Rose nods and smiles. The dad and mom came and scooped all the kids up into a big family hug.
Rose sighs and says,
"I have the best vampire family ever ."
The whole family smiles and the mom says,
"Lets go inside and get our blood because I'm hungry."
The rest nod and walk back inside.
End of flashback
I let go of her necklace and gasp. Rose gives me a puzzled look with worry and I take a step back.
"What's wrong,? What did you see?"
Rose asked. I swallow and look her dead in the eye.
"What I saw was surprising, but you had a family and they were vampire and so were you."
