"You know, your idea of registering at Prada was genius, but don't you think that, uh, Pottery Barn would've been a little more useful? You know, since we're getting married and moving in together and everything."
"No," Brian answered simply. "No, not really. You can never have enough clothes, Sunshine. I thought I taught you better than that?" He cocked his head to the side, a playful smirk on his face.
"You also can't have too much kitchen pots and pans." He got up from the floor taking the papers he had with him. He sat down next to Brian. "How many gifts to you think we're going to get from Prada?"
"Pots and pans?" He laughed. "Well, aren't you going to make the perfect little housewife," Brian teased, a chuckle in his voice. He turned his head to look at Justin, shrugging a shoulder at the question. "If we really push it, maybe a couple. But that's better than none." He rolled his lips into his mouth, hiding another smirk.
"You're just a prince in the world of commoners." Justin laughed then put the papers on the table. "We have to get a seating chart done before the wedding rehearsal next week. Wanna help me?"
"Finally, someone understands!" Brian joked, a smile breaking out across his face. "Sorry, Sunshine, but I think I'll leave that one to the artiste," he said after a moment. "But, if you ever want to practice for the honeymoon, I'll be happy to help." He smirked before leaning over to press a kiss on the back of Justin's neck.
Justin chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Even an artiste needs some help once in while. I already know my mom and her boyfriend are going to sit next to Debbie. Michael, Ben and Hunter are going to be with Emmett and Ted. I think Ted is bringing Blake which might just steal the whole evening away from us." He smirked at his comment.
"Oh, hell no!" Brian said, sitting up straight. "I will not be one-upped by the accountant and his tweaked–sorry, formally tweaked–out new beau. How dare you even suggest such a thing!" He shuddered dramatically before moving closer to his fiancé (fuck, he was still trying to get used to that word). He clicked his tongue before leaning further forward to examine the papers. "Alright, Sunshine, let's get this over with."
Justin smiled and kissed Brian's check. "I knew you would come around to helping me." It took them an hour and a half to finish the seating chart for their not so large wedding. Most of the guests were Justin's family. Justin had discussed with Brian if he wanted to invite any of his family. Brian said Debbie and Michael were going and that's the only family he needed to be there.
They had agreed to have the ceremony at Britin. The backyard was beautiful, plus it was an effective way to show everyone their new home. "Do you think we'll ever adopt a kid like Michael and Ben?"
Brian sighed inwardly. He'd known that question was coming. It wasn't that he didn't want kids–he loved Gus, more than he ever thought was possible–but it was the idea of having a kid full-time, one that never left, that depended on him for everything. Frankly, the idea scared the shit out of him.
Averting his gaze, Brian wet his lips. "I don't know," he said. And it was the honest answer. He really didnt know. Hell, he was still getting used to this whole 'love' thing, or, at least, being able to admit it out loud without having some sort of mental breakdown.
Justin had always thought about kids from an early age. He had always wanted to be a dad someday. Settle down and have a family to call his own. When he fell in love with Brian, he was sure that was never going to happen. But now it was a possibility again. They could really raise a child and have a family.
Justin shrugged like Brian's answer didn't bother him even though he knew Brian was answering truthfully. "I just thought I'd ask."
Leaning close, Brian pressed his mouth to Justin's ear. "Let's just focus on getting hitched first, then we worry about that stuff, okay?" he whispered before kissing his cheek quickly. Sitting back, Brian let out a contented sigh. "So, what's next on the wedding planning agenda, or do we have it all covered?"
