Here it is!!
I hope you like this, I liked writing it (when don’t I like writing about Liam though, really?) and if you want me to change anything, just say xx Enjoy…
You stare at the page, the words blurring under your tired gaze. With a heavy sigh, you turn the page in you Chemistry text book and rub your eyes, trying to bring your concentration back to the formulas and away from the enticing sunshine outside.
What’s the formula for hydrochloric acid? Ah…what the hell? When did we learn this?!
You frown at the question, willing it to change into something you knew. After five minutes of trying, you give up. It had been an hour, and you’d been trying your best, but now the tedium of the work was wearing thin. And the whispering from the aisle next to you didn’t help.
Trying to ignore them, you stand up, stretching and browsing the shelves for something you hadn’t read. You came to the library weekly and made sure to try something new each time you visited. So far, you were going through an Action phase.
After discovering that you were surrounded by romance novels, you pack up your things and walk to the Issues Desk, handing the librarian the one study book you’d found.

The door thuds closed and you sag onto the couch, letting out a large sigh and closing your eyes wearily. Liam hurries out of the kitchen and sits down beside you, pulling your head onto his knee.
“Want to talk about it?” You groan and open your eyes, twisting so you’re looking up at his worried face.
“I. Am. So. Thick!” Tears of frustration fill your eyes and Liam shifts, pulling you up and into his arms. He kisses your forehead.
“Hey, don’t say that. You’re not thick babe…” You scrub at your eyes angrily and interrupt him.
“Yes. I am! I cannot figure out one stupid little thing, Liam! You don’t understand!” He shakes his head and pulls your face into his chest, holding you until you relax.
“You’re right, I don’t understand. So why don’t you tell me? Maybe I can help.” You sigh and unwrap yourself from his arms.
“It’s my homework,” You lean forward and pick up your text book from the coffee table. “I stared at the same page for over an hour and I only got one question done!” Liam gently takes the book from you and pulls you back down beside him, draping one arm around your shoulders.
“This question?” You nod and Liam frowns slightly as he reads it. “Do you want help?” He asks cautiously, aware that sometimes you just wanted him to sit back and let you work things out on your own. You nod and he clears his throat.
“Okay, well how ‘bout I’ll prompt you until you get it?” He suggests and you nod.
“Thanks babe.” He holds the book away from you and you cross your legs.
“What is the formula for nitric acid?” You groan and feel the frustration returning.
“I don’t bloody know!” Liam leans forward and kisses you softly.
“That’s okay…what if I told you it begins with an H?” You wrack your brains and come up with nothing. You shake your head. “H, something, something, and a number.”
“HNO³?” He grins at you and you smile back.
“Okay, so what about this one? What’s the formula for sulphuric acid?” You sigh and lower your head in defeat. “It’s got three letters and two numbers.” You raise you eyes skyward and think back on you latest Chemistry lesson. You can vaguely remember you teacher saying something about H²… You decide to go with it.
“Um…H²…?” Liam nods encouragingly and you think harder. “H²S…” Liam squeaks a little bit and you giggle at him. “…SO…H²SO…” You groan and let your head thud onto your boyfriend’s chest. “I don’t know the rest.” Liam plays with your hair.
“That’s okay, Ash. We’ll move on, yeah?” He gives you a quick squeeze and you pull away.
“Yeah.” He smile and glances at the book again.
“Alright then, an easy one. The formula for hydrochloric acid.” You smile, because you actually know this one.
“HCl.” Liam bounces on the couch and slams the book shut, dropping it to the floor and pulling you into a hug.
“See, Ash? You’re not thick. You just needed a little help is all. I’m so proud of you.” He kisses the top of your head and you laugh. “What?”
“I just think it’s funny how excited you get about things like this.” Liam looks into your eyes, bringing his face a few inches away from yours.
“Well, I like to see you succeeding. I love you.” He tilts his head and rubs his nose against yours in an Eskimo kiss. You smile widely and move your head back a bit.
“Thank you, Liam. I love you.” He smiles and you brush your lips against his, before he grabs the back of your neck and deepens the kiss, running his tongue along your lip, asking for entrance. You let him in and he slips his arms under your legs.
“I think you should get a reward for all your hard work, don’t you.” You chuckle against his lips and he carries you upstairs, his lips never once leaving yours.
