A Puzzle to be Fixed (Hayes grier)

Rose's P.O.V *

I started punching the bag even harder when all the memories of my life back home started to come back. My father hardly being there for me, the loss of my mom, how hard it was getting where I am now. I gave the bag a hard punch before I felt a hand on my shoulder. I quickly turned around and put my fists up. I relaxed a bit when I saw it was Hayes.

"Woah it's just me, you okay?" He asked putting his hands in the pockets of his hoodie. So that guy in the gym was him? "I'm fine." I answered he nodded "wanna go get something to eat?" He asked looking at me straight in the eye. What??? Is this the real Hayes grier, like this isn't a joke right? Maybe he's still half asleep. "Sure" I said getting my phone and card to my hotel room.

"Meet me in my room in 30." He said jogging away. Okayy, i walked to the elevator and back to my room. I plugged in my phone to charge. I took a quick shower. I settled on high waisted jeans, my teal vans, and a white flowy crop top. I left my hair naturally curly. I got a 50 dollar bill and put it in my phone case. I checked the time 35 minutes had passed. I knocked on the door that connected our rooms.

Seconds later Hayes appeared. Dressed in khaki shorts with a red shirt and his red vans. "Let's go" He said and closed the door behind him. We walked in silence towards a little café in front of the hotel. It wasn't an awkward silence. We got there and sat in a booth. We ordered and after the waitress left he spoke. "Glad they speak English here." He sighed I laughed at that. The gift of knowing Spanish I thought to myself.

"You should learn Spanish, it won't kill you." I smiled he chuckled "that would be nice." "I'll teach you if you want." I offered he smiled "thanks that will come in handy." "Hey about earlier at the gym, you okay??" He asked. Should I tell him, nahh I'm good. "Umm, yeah I'm fine don't worry." I gave him a small smile. "Ok" He nodded understanding. "Are you okay? You looked like you had a bad dream." I looked at him waiting for him to respond. His smiled faded and was soon replaced with a angrily frown. "I see we both like vans." He said totally ignoring my question. What the hay? Ok whatever.

"Yeah I love them, ever since I was a kid." I smiled "so do i, there pretty comfortable." He smiled looking down at his shoes. I chuckled. Our food came and we ate. we were on our way back to our rooms when we walked into my room laughing about something stupid. I saw Marie and Nash in there. Hayes smiled slowly faded but not in a bad way.

"How'd you guys get in??" I asked confused. "We came in through Hayes room, he didn't lock his room." Nash and Marie laughed. I giggled. Hayes rolled his eyes playfully. I liked this side of Hayes he should show it more often. "We were going to go get breakfast all together but from the looks of it you guys already did, but we ordered room service anyways." Marie said laying down on my bed.

I nodded. "Ok so I already called they should be bringing our rental cars here any minute now, we only have two, so Hayes and Rose in one and me and Marie in the other." Nash explained. Ok we all answered. We went down to the lobby and outside sure enough there were out rental cars. We got in and made our way to the scuba diving place. I jumped into the car and Hayes got into the passengers side.

Off we went, the place was only 15 minutes away. I put the windows down and turned up the music. I started shaking my head to the beat, Hayes laughed and ducked his head down. "I don't know you, your crazy!" He screamed over the loud music. I laughed and stopped as we parked into the parking lot of the scuba diving place. We got out and met with Marie and Nash inside.

The man explained everything and what to do and what not to do. We all listened and put on our gear. Soon we were in the ocean. It felt to good to be true. We swam around with the little orange fishes and cute lil turtles, ok well maybe not that lil. We also saw a shark Marie started freaking out, i wanted to laugh but this was actually serious. Nash calmed her down a couple seconds later.

I guess I was in my own little world I didn't notice Hayes grabbing my hand towards the surface. I let go of his hand and he didn't seem to care oh whale. We got out of the gear and dried up a bit. We decided on going back to the hotel and going to this restaurant about 20 minutes away. As soon as me and Hayes got in the car I asked him something. "Wasn't that fun!?" I said excitedly. "Yeah." He mumbled looking out the window. Wtf!? Why is he so bipolar.

I just didn't talk to him, i pulled up and parked the car in the hotel parking lot. I got out and slammed the door walking to the elevator and straight to my room. I made sure I locked it before I got in the shower. After a good 10 minutes I got out. I got dressed into a cute black romper it had pink little flowers on it. I paired it with some black flats. I left my hair naturally curly as always. I heard a knock on the door.

I opened it and Marie came in along with Nash and Hayes. "You ready?" Marie asked. I nodded and grabbed my purse. I went to the passengers side and climed in. I gave the keys to Hayes. It was a silent car ride. Once we got there i took off towards Marie. We went inside and sat down. Once we ordered we had ate and just sat there. We ordered a bit of tequila. We all talked and had a good time. Hayes spoke a bit on the way back. "Hey look the moon." Hayes said looking out the window. I turned for a bit to see it. It looked beautiful the full moon shining on top of the ocean the way the water looked with the light of the moon. "It's beautiful." I whispered he nodded.

When we got to the hotel room me and Hayes ended up in his room watching some movie I honestly wasn't paying attention, I was too tired. I soon felt my eyes getting heavy and they just dropped.
