Chapter 14
Luis...
(Trevor Donovan as my idea of Myles)I sat in Jackson's home office or I should now say my home office and looked over the monthly documents that our lawyer had sent over for me to review. Reports of the ex-Randall's trying to appeal the legality of the original document signed by my father-in-law and his ex-wife, blah, blah blah, the usual stuff when it came to her. If she was so desperate for money, then why spend a chunk of it fighting a losing battle and paying hefty attorney fees. When is this shit going to end? I mean after the ton of money that the old man had given to the woman to gain his freedom from her, she still wanted more.
She felt that because she spread her legs and spit out a kid that she was entitled to at least half the Randall fortune. The kid in question is an ungrateful bastard that was too busy partying on his father's dime and whoring his way across several countries to even come and see his father during his final days. They deserved nothing, and if Jackson had to reincarnate himself to prevent it I am sure he would after the pains he had taken when he was alive to make sure that didn't happen.
My hand hovered over one of the long worded and insufferable documents, full of legalese language but the name of the private clinic where I used to work and where I met Jackson caught my eye. I also recognized the name of his previous physician. A frown marred my face as I continued to read through the papers, and I felt my blood pressure rise to alarming levels.
"That fucking, money grubbing Bitch!" I screamed as I threw the whole pile of garbage on the desk and reached for the phone to call Myles.
This is absolute bullshit. I usually let Myles Callahan,of Callahan and McMahon Law Firm handle things. Myles and his partner Philip were old acquaintances of Jackson's, actually I should say that were college buddies with Jackson. At first, when I was starry eyed and all infatuated with Jackson in the beginning of our friendship.
I had resented Myles the minute I first laid eyes on the tall blonde. He and Jackson had been to friendly for my tastes. A relationship that far surpassed that of lawyer and client. If you looked up Adonis on Google images, his picture would've probably come up. My feelings of hatred towards the unassuming man were further nurtured by the fact that Jackson had actually dated the man for a couple of months when they were in school together.
My jealous little self couldn't stand the gorgeous attorney, but he is the best at what he does and Jackson trusted him with his secret and Myles also knew the truth behind our marriage, which was another black mark I had against the man. My hidden animosity towards disappeared after I has realized that Jackson and I weren't meant to be anything other than very good friends, almost brothers even. I later learned from Jackson that Myles is bisexual and he married his submissive partner, a sweet little country girl by the name of Karla.
When I had found out that Myles as well as well as his other executive partner at his firm Philip were both Dominants in the lifestyle, and I wasn't too surprised by that little bit of news. Both men have that take charge type of personality. They were stunning specimens of Alpha males, one dark and one light. They were a force to reckoned with anywhere they went. That is why they took command of each and every courtroom they set foot in. That's also why they were the Randall's personal and business attorneys.
