"Well? Are you going to gap at me like a guppy fish or are you going to invite your friends into your room?" Ms. Hilda demands, staring Steve down.

"Excuse me, miss, but we were just wondering if Stevie could come out and play." Ward says with faked sincerity. She turns to him and smiles, he forces a slight smile back.

"Alright. Well, then, you boys scurry along and behave yourselves." She demands before heading up the stairs, which creaked with each step. It was quiet amongst the boys, Steve avoiding eye contact and Hydra sneering at him, staring him down.

"So, what's this all about, fellas?" Steve asks, risking a look up.

"Oh, we just wanted to send a message. C'mon, lover boy, outside." Pierce hums, ushering out the door. Steve folds his arms and stands his ground, knowing full well nothing good is going to happen to him if he follows them.

"Yeah. Sorry, don't think so, boys. Guess we'll have to hang out another day." Steve tries to get himself out of that one. Rumlow shakes his head and clamps a hand down on Steve's shoulder, shoving him outside. The blonde tumbles down the stairs, coming to rest at the bottom upside down. Dizzy, he can hear Hydra approaching but his head was spinning so he couldn't see where they were. Somebody yanks him to his feet and he looks around to see that Hydra had surrounded him.

"This way." Rumlow growls, he was the one in the group with the worst temper. He gestures onwards, and Hydra makes sure Steve does what Rumlow commands.

Steve gets shoved into a brick wall, his arm held at an awkward position and his cheek scraping the brick. He squirms and Ward, who was holding him there, squeezes him arm tighter and Steve bites his lip.

"Now listen up, you _____. You ever touch us again, we'll destroy you." Pierce hisses into Steve's ear. The blonde closes his eyes for a second and reopens them to glare at Pierce.

"Whatever." Steve spits back, he jerks his leg back and kicks Ward in the leg, Ward stumbles back. Hydra springs into action, all trying to get to Steve.

The blonde kicks and punches, dodges weak punches and tries to hightail it out of there. He gets free of the group and starts sprinting away, anywhere that's not there. Sitwell tackles him, though, from behind and he falls to the ground. Steve squirms around, Sitwell was perching in his back. Sitwell gets up and grabs Steve roughly, and somehow drags the squirming blonde back to the group.

Pierce slams his fist into Steve's face, and again and again. He uses Steve's face as a punching bag, while the rest of Hydra best up the rest of him. Steve tries his hardest to fight back, trying to land a few good kicks or punches. He just couldn't.

"Given up yet?" Pierce growls, again smashing his fist into Steve's cheek. The blonde looks at him, one eye swollen shut and one half closed. Steve works up a spit wad of mucus and blood, spitting it into Pierce's face. Pierce growls and wipes the spit wad off. He fingers Steve and slaps him, Ward held Steve's left side and Rumlow held his right side. If he wasn't being held up he would be on the ground, unable to fight back.

"You filthy _____!" Pierce shouts at Steve, he kicks him hard in the gut and Steve falls to his knees. Pierce kicks Steve in the side of the head and Rumlow lets him go, Steve falls onto his side on the ground, semi-conscious. He gets a kick to the face, to the ribs repeatedly, he feels several of them crack and he cries out. Someone stomps down on his ankle and smashes it, Steve wails in pain, the tears start flowing down his face. Pierce leans down close and smirks when he sees the blonde crying, he kicks Steve in the side of the head one more time before leading his crew away. Steve blacks out, the pain too much all at once, his entire being was hurting.

Bucky was walking along the road, whistling to himself. He'd completely ignored his parent's orders but couldn't care less. He was walking by the orphanage and figured maybe he'd pop in and see Steve. He knocks on the door and it opens to show Ms. Hilda, for some reason looking worried.

"Hi, Ms. Hilda. Is Steve here?" Bucky asks, cocking his head to the side. She shakes her head and brushes a strand of hair off her face.

"He isn't here. A while ago he left with his friends and he hasn't come back." She replies, frowning slightly. Bucky frowns in return, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Hmm. His friends?" He urges her to continue explaining.

"Yes. A group of young boys came in looking for him." She says, Bucky freezes.

"Young boys? How many?" He inquires, pretending to be casual.

"Oh, about six. Why?" She asks back, frowning. He swallows audibly but doesn't answer her, he turns around and opens the door again.

"Thanks." He says quickly before shutting the door and heading down the steps. He knew it was Hydra, but he didn't know if they were still around, didn't know where Steve was. But he was determined to find out.

Bucky walks along the streets urgently, his head whipping around and trying to look in every direction. He hears ragged breathing in an alleyway and his heart sinks, he quickly makes his way there.

"Steve?" He calls softly, looking around, peering through the garbage and the semi-darkness. He doesn't hear a response, which worries him. He walks along, his shoes crunching on the rocks there as he goes.

"Stevie?" He tries again softly, looking behind a garbage can. He sighs and runs a hand through his hair.

Bucky turns around and spots a hand, peeking out from behind some trash.

"Steve."
