Paul passed by Aria and smiled. "See you tomorrow," He waved and left for 2 period. "Can't wait," Aria sarcastically said and made a nasty face. "What's wrong? Paul's a nice guy.....right?" I asked as Aria grabbed her books. "Sure he's nice, but he is so annoying. The worst part is he has a huge crush on me," Aria whispered and I followed her out the door into the hallway. People moved left and right trying to get to class. "Isn't that a good thing? I would give anything to have someone crush on me," I blurted out and dogged a boy running past me. "I would love it, but Paul's crazy. I could never go out with him," Aria puffed and turned to me. "And have you noticed that he looks exactly like Will?" She asked. I bit my lip in thought. Paul's red hair look nothing like Will's brown hair, Paul's green eyes couldn't compare to Will's raining sky, and Paul had freckles when Will did not. "I don't see it," I said giving up. They looked nothing alike. " You must be blind then......I got to get to class. See you at lunch," Aria said and turned down another hallway to her next period. I smiled and raced down the hall my class was in.
I ran as fast as I could to my next class. I reached the Art room just in time. Taking a deep breath I made it over to my success station. I would say my desk, but Mrs.Cann forced us to call it our 'success station'. As ridiculous as it sounds, it actually helps me look at my work better. I picked up my drawing off of the head table, and got some of the colors and brushes that I will need. I finished the drawing on Friday, so that I could start painting it today. On the page was a small bunny, who was hiding behind a bush that was surrounded by roses. I grabbed a fine paint brush and dipped it into a deep blood red paint, and started to brush it over the sweet rose petals.

The rest of the week flew by fast. I had hung out with Aria almost everyday after school, sometimes at her house and sometimes at mine. Mom and Roger got a kick out of Aria, and she just seemed to become friends with everyone she meets. Every time science class rolled around I would get really nervous and excited. William was so handsome and funny. I smiled and started twirling my fork around. That class just never seemed long enough.
"Hey," A strong voice echoed above me. I looked up from my tray to see William standing beside me. "Hello" I smiled at Will as he sat down next to me. Aria was still in the lunch line, so it was just me and William sitting together. We were talking about the homework that we have yet to do when Will just started smiling like crazy. "What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. I thought back and wondered if I said anything funny, I didn't. "Nothing. I'm just thinking about what I'm about to do," Will whispered and looked down at his shoes. I sucked in air, and when I released it, I puffed out, "What is that exactly?" Will shot his head up and stared into my eyes. "Well, do you want to go have dinner with me tonight?" Will asked, smiling.
A shiver ran down my spine. Was he asking ME out? I was too shocked to move. Why would he ask me out? I'm a nobody, I thought men go for hotter, more talented girls. "Um, is that a yes?" Will asked. I looked up at him and smiled. "Yes, yes! I'd love too!" I said, but then immediately regretted how I made myself sound too eager. "Great, so I will pick you up around... eight?" Will smiled. "Yea that sounds good," I said, trying to sound chill. "Okay," Will laughed, "See you tonight Diana," He winked, then got up and left.
As soon as William exited the cafeteria, Aria ran over to the table as fast as she could. "Oh my goodness, okay so like I was totally eavesdropping and heard every word. I can't believe that you are going on a date with William!" She exclaimed and grabbed my hands. "I can't believe it either," I said in shock then smiled at Aria as she started going on about all the cute things I should wear to the date.

After trying on 15 outfits I settled for a simple black dress, not knowing whether it was going to be a fancy date or not. In fact I didn't even know where I was even going, but I was elated. I looked at myself in the mirror and twirled, watching my dress flowing around me. I skipped to the bathroom, and Mom helped me curl my hair and pin it up and out of my face. My mother was so excited about me going on my first date ever, of course I wouldn't tell William that.
I waited for Will in my living room, trying to keep myself busy with a magazine. It seemed like it was hours before the doorbell rang. I quickly rushed to the door, then turned around to see my mom two steps behind me. "Remember what I said Mom. You can't get all gooey or you will scare him off," I sighed when she didn't budge. "Could you please wait in the kitchen?" I begged and this time she sighed. "Fine, I will give you your space only if you promise to be safe tonight and not get too crazy," She smiled and I nodded "I will. Love you" I smiled and watched her race to the kitchen window. She looked out of the window at Will and then to me winking. I breathed and then opened the door.
William stood there in a button down grey shirt and black jeans, wearing a huge smile across his face. "Ready to go cutie?" Will asked and I blushed. "All set," I answered and walked out into the cold night air, shutting the door behind me. We had just walked off the steps when Will turned around and waved at the window my mom was looking through. She panicked and quickly dropped to the floor and out of sight. I put my hand to my face. " I'm sorry," I said feeling embarrassed and shook my head. "Don't worry about it. It's cute" William smiled and took my hand. Once we were settled in his car I asked, "So where are we going this evening?" William started down the street smiling, "Guess you will just have to wait and see."

We pulled into a lot filled with other cars all facing one big blank screen. "A drive in?" I giggled looking around at all the couples snuggling in their cars. "Yea, you don't like it?" Will asked, looking nervous. "No, I love it. It sounds fun" I assured Will. "Good, the movie they are showing is some horror film about a monster who slowly kills everyone in town," William smiled. "Sounds exciting," I smiled back and William offered to go get me some refreshments. The movie started just as William got back with the popcorn and a drink.
"So have you ever been to one of these before?" William asked and I popped a popcorn in my mouth. "No. Well we tried it once, but my mom complained the whole first fifteen minutes of the movie so we left," I sighed. "I was six at the time. My dad always loved to try new things, but my mother would never care for them," I smiled and looked over to Will, only to see him staring intently at the screen. I sighed and looked up to see some guy with a knife creeping around a dark house. "Umm, so do you come here often?" I asked. What, come here often? How desperate for conversation can you sound? "No not really," William laughed and turned towards me. "But I thought it would be fun. Us in the middle of nowhere, watching a movie in the dark," Will smiled and so did I. Now it sounds romantic. Will leaned in and planted a kiss on my lips. I blushed, maybe tonight won't be so bad after all.
