Sunday flew by fast mostly because I slept in till 12:45 am. Mom wouldn't stop talking about Saturday, and how she was so scared. I kept telling her that I was fine, but she didn't let me off that easy. "Are you sure nothing happened? I mean how could you just not notice that the sun was going down?" She asked and sat next to me on our brown couch. "Come on Mom. I said that I was sorry like a million times. And I will let you know that Daisy is very captivating," I smiled, and we both looked down at Daisy, who was laying on the floor. She huffed in air and sneezed. Mom was the first to laugh. "Well, I still do not want you to go into those woods alone any time soon," Mom said dryly. "Yes mam," I sighed. I hated that I did not tell her the truth. I don't like lying to my Mom, but I definitely didn't want to tell her what really happened. She would freak out and call the police to check out the woods for what? My imagination, no way.

I woke up Monday morning hoping that my first day was already erased from people minds. After putting on a red Coca Cola shirt and blue jeans, I got in my mom's car. I started to scratch at the spot under the door handle as Mom hopped in the driver's seat. I always picked at the tan leather in this spot of the car when I was nervous. Since this whole move had been making me moody, there was a pretty large hole in the door now. "Hun, they aren't monsters. You will be fine," Mom said as she noticed the destruction that I was making. I frantically pulled my hand up at my hair. I didn't want my mom to know that I was having school problems. "Hey what are you doing tonight. I heard you tell Roger that you would be home late," I asked wanting to desperately change the subject. She got my hint and pulled out of the driveway. "I am just going out for dinner with my work group. You know boring stuff," She promised, and gave a light laugh. I giggled a little, but only so that I wouldn't be rude.

As we made it to my school Mom sighed. "Sweetie," Mom cooed and grabbed my hand. "I know that you don't like it here, but just try to get involved more, okay?" Mom begged, and gave me sad eyes. "Yea, sure Mom. Love you," I smiled and pulled my bag onto my back as we entered the school parking lot. "Love you too. Have fun, and go learn some stuff," Mom smiled back, and I giggled, "I will try,"

As soon as I got out of the car, I felt lost. I didn't belong here and I never would, but I guess that I should have some fun while I wait for my mom to come to her seances and move us back to our true home. I sighed, and looked around the parking lot. Since classes did not start for another ten minutes the place was full of students. It took me awhile, but I finally spotted Aria across the lot by her white Honda Civic talking to someone. I ran as fast as I could to her and yelled, "Aria, Aria!" Reaching her, she pulled me into a tight hug. "I missed you so much!" She squealed. "Me too," I replied as she released me. Her hair was pulled into a complicated fish tail braid, and was flipped to one side. Her pastel pink skater skirt matched with her sea blue shirt made her look like cotton candy. She smiled wickedly at me, and I shifted eagerly onto one side. "What?" I blurted out when she didn't say anything.

"William, I would like you to met my new best friend Diana. Officially, I mean." Aria said with a smirk, and motioned to the person to her left. I tensed up at her words, grabbing my back pack straps for support. I turned to see the handsome William smiling down at me. His leather jacket covered a dark red t-shirt. His hair in a tousled mess. "Nice to finally meet you Diana. Officially, I mean," He copied Aria, and gave a little laugh. I giggled at his humor, but ended up just sounding annoying. He held out his hand, and I snuck a quick look at Aria before stiffly shaking it. As I did, I looked into his beautiful blue eyes. It was a certain special kind of blue. Like when it is raining and you look up into the sky. It's dark, clouded, and mysterious. It was almost like his eyes carried some dangerous burden that was forever imprinted on his soul. What have your eyes seen in this life. Aria's giggle woke me back to reality, and I took my hand from Will's. "Well, um, I better go get ready for school. I'll see you later then?" He asked as he put his hands in the pockets of his ripped jeans. "Yea, see you," I smiled. William winked, and I watched him as he walked to the front of the school.
