Somin & Mingis first meeting.

Word count: 375.

Somin pushed open the heavy studio door, the muffled beat of a bass drum thumping against her chest. Her stomach fluttered with a mix of nerves and excitement. This was it—her first day as a KQ Entertainment trainee. The room was larger than she expected, sleek and modern, with soundproofing panels on the walls and a massive mixing desk dominating one corner.

A figure was hunched over the desk, head bobbing slightly to the rhythm pulsing through the speakers. He had bright orange hair that seemed to glow in the studio's dim lighting. As she stepped further in, he finally looked up, pulling off a pair of oversized headphones.

"Oh, hey," he said, a friendly smile spreading across his face. "You must be Somin, right? I'm Mingi." His voice was deeper than she expected, a rich baritone that vibrated with the music still faintly playing.

Somin felt a blush creep up her neck. "Yeah, that's me," she managed, offering a small wave. "Nice to meet you, Mingi."

He gestured to the empty chair beside him. "Come on in. I was just trying to lay down some ideas for a new rap verse. What brings you to the dungeon of dreams today?" He winked, and Somin relaxed a little, a smile finally breaking through her nerves.

"Just getting acquainted with everything," she replied, taking the seat. "And trying not to get lost."

Mingi chuckled. "You'll get used to it. This place practically becomes your second home. So, you're a rapper and vocalist, right?"

"Mostly, yeah," Somin confirmed. "But I'm hoping to work on my dancing too."

"Awesome! We've got some killer choreographers here," Mingi said, his eyes lighting up. "And for vocals, well, let's just say you'll be hitting notes you didn't even know existed." He grinned, then tapped a finger on the mixing desk. "Want to hear what I'm working on? It's still super rough."

Somin's eyes widened. "I'd love to!"

As Mingi hit play, the studio filled with a powerful, rhythmic beat, and his voice, raw and full of passion, began to flow. Somin leaned forward, captivated. This wasn't just a studio; it was a place where dreams were already taking shape. And it seemed she'd found her first friend on the journey.
