<Steve's P.O.V>
I was sitting on the couch reading a book when I finished and looked up and saw the time. It was about one in the morning and I was shocked that I stayed up this late. Usually I would fall asleep at eleven or so because as Tony said I was an old man. I slowly rose and went to bed knowing that Tony was not going to come up anytime soon. I woke up the next morning had a cup of coffee worked out and showered. Once I was out of the shower and dressed I walked back into the living room to find that everyone was just waking up and getting breakfast.
"Hey cap, Tony in the lab?" Bruce asked stirring his coffee.
"Ya he didn't come up last night so I don't think that we will be seeing him soon" I answered taking a seat next to Pietro. "I swear to god he has a mini house down there we don't know about" I mumbled the last part angry with him for ignore any kind of bodily functions.
"Well knowing Stark I wouldn't doubt it" Nat chuckled while everyone agreed.
"Why don't you pull him out of there like you did last time?" Thor suggested chugging his third cup of coffee.
"Well first off no more coffee" I scolded while he made an impatient huff and clouds rumble outside. "And second I did that because he hadn't come out of there for two weeks" I growled remembering the weight he lost.
"Well don't let it get that far and go get him," Clint suggested shrugging his shoulders and wrapping an arm around Pietro.
"He's right go get Tony" Pietro laughed making Tony sound weird with his ascent.
"I know he is right I just have to build up some courage" I admitted rubbing my hands together.
"Your name is captain fucking America and you need courage" Nat snorted while I shot her a look that told her to mind her word choice.
"I though this country was known for courage?" Wanda asked looking confused.
"On the contrary Ms. Maximoff America is most known for freedom" vision corrected smiling at us.
"See" I smirked.
"Steve march your blond ass down stairs and pull your boyfriend out of that lab" Nat growled pushing me out of the chair. I rolled my eyes and walked down stairs to the lab unlocking the door with my password to be met with a very tired looking Tony.
"Oh hi Stevey boy how are you doing?" Tony smiled putting down a blowtorch and smiling at me warily.
"I would be better if you got out of this lab," I stated taking a seat in the office chair.
"Well I just have to finish a few more things and I will be up alright?" Tony smiled relighting the torch and going back to whatever he was doing.
"Not alright" I growled taking the torch and turning it off and putting it down. "You said that last time and the time before that and the time before that and the ti-"
"Alright alright I get it I lie about working and when I am going to be done, but this time I promise that I will come up this afternoon. Ok?" Tony cut me off giving me those eyes that could kill.
"Tony I hate you" I sighed leaning in to capture his lips with my own. Tony smiled against me mumbling he hated me to before shoeing me out so he could keep working. I came up stairs to a very smug looking group of Avengers. "Shut up" I mumbled going to find myself another book to read.
"Has master Stark come up yet like you requested?" Vision asked in his smooth British voice. I was about to finish my book and I looked up to see it was around nine thirty.
"No he hasn't I have to go get him," I groaned rubbing my eyes.
"Would you like me to shut down everything in the lab except for the lights?" Vision asked already walking over to the pad that was in the counter.
"That would be great mate," I laughed at my own joke while Vision game me a pity laugh pressing a few buttons before nodding to me to go to the lab.
"ANTHONY EDWARD STARK!" I yelled barging into the lab to see Tony hitting one of the robots that was working on the suit.
"WHHAAATTTT?!" Tony yelled back like an angered teen rolling his head back and all.
"You said middle of the day, the day is over and you are still down here," I pointed out. "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on you, fool me eighteen times and I am dragging you up stairs even if you're kicking and screaming" I stalked over to him picking him up and throwing him over my shoulder. I came marching up stairs with Tony indeed kicking and screaming to a cackling group of superheroes.
"You ok over there cappy?" Clint joked.
"Fine" I growled storming to tony and I's room. I pulled him into the bathroom turning on the shower and pulling off both our clothing with great difficulty which was weird because usually Tony had to fight me to take off my clothing not the other way around. I got him in the shower holding him tightly to my chest so he would at least give up and relax which he did. "Better" I giggled in his ear.
"I want to go back down I was in th-"
"I don't give a shit! You need to spend more time with the team and your boyfriend I am limiting your lab time, and if you don't listen I will cut you off completely," I threatened and Tony knew I didn't make idle threats.
"Fine" Tony mumbled turning around so he could lean his face against my chest.
"Good now come on we need to clean you up" I smiled as Tony laughed at me.
