“McCann, again you’re late, failing, ignoring, and making a mockery of this English class. Is there ever a time, where you could just shut up and pay attention!” Mrs. Morn snapped her ruler on my table. I held in the need to laugh as nearly every student turned their heads in my direction. I bit my lip, looking up at her old face, covered in wrinkles, and her giant glasses which almost take up half her face. She was never in a happy mood, never. I licked my lips.
“Sorry, what was that?” I asked.
“Don’t you dare Jason, I have had it up to here with your lack in school work, where on earth do you see yourself in ten years if you fail school?” Mrs. Morn pursed her lips.
“Probably dead or in prison.” Someone whispered, but it was loud enough to have my eyes snap their way. Taylor, one of the jocks of the school was the one to say it. His face went into shock realizing I’d heard.
“Taylor, shut it, I’ve asked Jason, not you.” Mrs. Morn snapped. She turned her head back to me. “Jason, tell us where you see yourself in ten years?” Mrs. Morn repeated.
“Honestly, if Taylor thinks I’ll be behind bars, or dead… he’s probably right. Mrs. Morn, I’m not your average slacker, now if you ask where I see Taylor in ten years?” I looked over to Taylor. “I’d see him on steroids, looking like a fool trying to get a little attention… by then, he’d come out to his family that he prefers hot dogs instead of buns, but you didn’t ask me that.” I smirked. Everyone’s eyes widened as Taylor stood up, pissed off.
“SAY THAT TO MY FACE, JASON!” Taylor roared.
“Enough!” Mrs. Morn yelled.
“At least I’m not related to Beaver, the gayest guy out there.” Taylor snickered as he sat down.
“Neither am I, Taylor. I’m not related to a ‘Beaver’. But if you were referring to BIEBER, then my little amigo, watch where you run your mouth, because last I checked, he’s out there making millions, and all our asses are doing is losing the money.” I stood up, grabbing my bag.
“You probably kiss your cousin, don’t ya?” Taylor smirked.
“Nah, I’m too busy with your girl.” I winked, walking out of the class.
“JASON!” Mrs. Morn shouted. I smirked. “GET BACK IN CLASS!” Mrs. Morn continued shouting, but by then, I was out of the classroom.
“Yo McCann!” Tyler, a mate of mine walked over to me. we walked down the hall of the school.
“Cortez.” I nodded my head to him.
“We got a heist tonight, you coming bro?” Tyler asked.
“Course.” I smiled. We exited the school, sitting on the side. I slipped out a cigarette, lighting it and taking in a puff.
“Is that mini McCann and a girl?” Tyler pointed across the oval. I could see my little brother, of course, making out with some girl. I chuckled, shaking my head. “Didn’t know your brother was such a little player.” Tyler laughed.
“He’s not, little prick falls in love.” I smirked.
“At that age?” Tyler shook his head. I took another puff of the smoke. I dropped it to the ground, blowing out the smoke from my mouth. I squished it under my supra before walking over to Jake. Tyler was following behind.
“Aye, Jake!” I yelled. Jake almost jumped out of his skin. He knows how I am, so of course he’s gonna freak. I got closer. “Who’s this?” I asked him.
“L-Lilly.” Jake stuttered as he got to his feet. The girl stood up after him. I looked Lilly up and down. She was taller than Jake by an inch, which was funny.
