HEEEEYY guys! I'mmmmm baa-haack! Faster than last time, right? EEEEEEP!! I'm so excited for this chapter! I had so much fun writing it!! Hope u all like reading it as much I liked writing it! U probably won't tho...HAHA! It's nothing bad! I think...LoL!!

Oh yeah, I gotta warn ya, it got kind of VERY dark near the end, where Alexis goes a little...dark. Yeah, I had just finished read this really EPICALLY PERFECT OUT OF THIS WORLD UNIQUE book that had a very dark scene near the ending, and I got really into the dark atmosphere so that happened. LoL! Oh yeah, and the book that I read is called His to Claim, you have GOT to read it!! Words can not explain how amazing that book is, I literally read it all in ONE DAY and that book is LOONG! That's gotta tell u something! READ IT! It's by TeaNHeartache. SOOO GOOD, it's unbelievable!

Anyways, up above is the song I listened to while writing this chapter, and I think it really suits the chapter! Play it when it gets to the golden bowl part. And continue to replay it till the end of the chapter. 😃😃

~Chapter Forty Two~

Sophia's POV

"Alight, everyone understand their job and role?" Darren inquires in his strong, authoritative voice, eyeing everyone. He may have a very stupid mind at times, but he's a damn good Prince and would make an outstanding King one day.

All the fighters give him a firm nod of their heads, letting him know that they know what their jobs are. Darren then proceeds to give a small speech on how well everything has to go today, and how we must all work together as a team and yadah yadah yadah. When he's finally done, I make my way over to him.

"Hey, I'm going to go check on Alex, alright?" I tell him before noticing the pained expression crossing his eyes at the mention of her name. Though, as quick as it came, it left. I narrow my eyes at him and watch him squirm under my gaze. He may be able to hide his emotions from others, but not me. I'm his sister and to me, he is like an open book. Something happened with him and Alex and as much as I want to know exactly what that something is, I know I can't ask right now. We don't have enough time to get into this.

"Be quick, we leave in five." He informs me in a stern voice. I nod my head and just as I'm about to turn around, he calls me back. Turning back to face him, I give him a questioning look. "Be carful during the battle, alright?" He says, his protective brother mode coming out, like always whenever we have to do something dangerous. I roll my eyes but a smile still tugs on lips, happy knowing that my brother cares about my well being.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'm an ass kicking, vampire princess. You don't need to worry, I'll be careful." I reply with a smirk. He shakes his head at my reply but I can see the amused yet proud smile gracing his lips. With that, I turn around and make my way to the basement through the partying crowd.

"Hey Alex..." My voice trails off as confusion floods me upon seeing an empty room. Where did she go? She said she was going to be going right down after I talked to her. That is when my eyes land upon a black wedge shoe resting in front of the couch. The one that Alex stole from me this morning and was wearing tonight. My eyes narrow at the shoe as I make my over to it.
