Recently, there have been many 'resource giveaways'. For any newbies, these are people giving away many resources. So here is me, explaining what resources are, what resource is what, etc.

Texture: These are images that normally don't contain a model or object of main focus. These can used over something or as a background. Use these wisely, or else whatever you're making will look like shit.

Popular types: Lighting textures, Star textures, Shape textures.

Programs used: Any photo editor can be used.

PNGs: Transparent images. There are 2 types, the first being a type of file and the second being a wattpad slang word of an image with a transparent/not seen background with a model/object seen. If you're like me, you are horrible at cutting (making a png). To get good pngs, i force meatball to make them for me. You should get a friend/slave to help you with this or join one of the many resource threads.

Popular types: Clouds, Stars, Things hanging from strings.

Popular programs: Any photo editor. People with photoshop will use something called topaz remask, a helpful tool in doing this.

Psd/xcf/pxd: These are types of files that will save the layers on your graphic. This will allow you to go back and edit it later. Wattpad slang has made these commonly known (on wattpad) as colorings which are a mix of adjustment values, colors, etc. These can be a good thing, or could make your cover look horrible and a disgrace to graphic making.

Popular types: Things from picanta are one. These have a wide variety of styles and types (3 different programs, 5 million different images)

Popular programs: Photoshop colorings are called psd's, Gimp colorings are called xcf, and pixlr colorings are called pxd av/pxds.

Brushes: These are from the brush tool. Normally, people use these to make clouds, draw lines, shapes, etc. The type compatible with pixlr is pbr, Gimp is gbr/gih/abr, and photoshop is abr as far as i know (i don't have photoshop ).

Popular types: Fire brushes, Smoke brushes, Cloud brushes.

Popular programs: Any photo editor that allow you to use brushes that don't originate from the editor (not picmonkey, picasa, etc.)

Stocks/Images/Pictures: Just simple images you can find anywhere. Stocks are usually referring to models and nature scenes. Images are just any picture. Pictures are just that, pictures. This isn't too complicated :P

Popular types: Female models, trees/forest pictures, and Cities.

Fonts: The way a word/words look like. The font right now is veranda, a curly/cursive font would be brush script mt.

Popular Types: There really is no 'popular' font. Although my personal favorites are boldstein, sail, canter, Cheddar Jack, and more that i can't name at the top of my head.

These are the most common resources i know. If you know anymore/think i missed some, feel free to comment below and tell meh sexy asf self.
