She started waking up but felt groggy with an extreme need to quench her thirst. She slowly opened her eyes but quickly closed them because her head was killing her. She attempted to soothe her pounding headache by massaging her forehead but instantly realized that she couldn't move her hand. Knowing that the bright light of the room would cause her headache more pain due to sensitivity, she decided that the pain was worth it to see what was going on. With much hesitation, she slowly opened her eyes.
She immediately looked down to see that she was strapped in a bed with restraints on both her arms and legs. Worry started to fill her heart as realization dawn on her that she wasn't dead. Shit! I must be under arrest while receiving medical care, she thought to herself. She carefully looked around, through squinted eyes, to see that she was in a simple room with another single bed to her left. There was a small window on the right side of the wall but it looked dull as if it was covered in some type of protective glass.
She then looked down at her body once more and noticed that she was wearing a grey hospital gown. She tried to wiggle around to the best of her ability to determine if the wound on her stomach was there but she didn't feel any pain. She immediately stopped moving when she heard a noise from under her bed. Out of nowhere, a Mexican girl with a youthful face jumped up and scared the living shit out of her.
"Fuck!" She stated getting more agitated as she couldn't move to even protect herself.
"Why in the world would you be hiding under the bed? And why the fuck are you scaring people?" She asked the stranger.
The girl just shrugged her shoulders then smiled displaying humor on her face. The girl then tried to hold her hand but Livy Marie balled it up into a fist while the girl looked disappointed.
"Well since you're on silent mode, could you undo me? Help a bitch out," she begged the random girl but only received a head shaking; indicating no.
"Why the fuck won't you help me or at least say something," she questioned the pretty latina.
The girl then looked behind her as if she heard something then put a finger up to her lips as to indicate that she needed to be quiet. The girl looked sad before she hurriedly ran to the empty bed and sat down just as the door opened. Two men dressed in puke green scrubs then entered the room and looked surprised that she was awake.
The young black male looked at the white guy and said, "Go tell the doctor that she's awake. We don't know what state she's in so I will stay here and watch her." The white guy nodded his head and left the room but not before looking at her with fear in his eyes.
"You know I can hear you, right?" She asked the staff employee.
"Yo, don't start no shit. I'm not in the mood today," he replied with an attitude.
"Whoa! What the fuck did I do to you? Not a damn thing so undo me. Please and thank you."
"No way. I ain't falling for that again. Not until the doctor assesses you. You know how you be. Wilding out and shit."
"I have no clue what you're talking about but I can assure you that I'm calm, even though your hostile demeanor is frustrating me," she claimed not trying to show her uncertainty of the situation.
He stepped closer to her and said in a low tone, "You may have everyone else in here fooled but I don't buy it for one minute. You're a hundred percent evil and I can see it in your eyes."
"Ok... Whatever. Since you're not going to help then please leave," she stated nonchalantly even though she was completely confused and slightly afraid.
Before he could respond, a middle aged black woman with a kind smile but tired eyes entered the room. She was wearing a white doctor's coat so it wasn't any question in regards to her profession. She slowly approached the bed and asked in friendly manner, "Would you like to talk privately with me in my office?"
