The Next Morning

Kamol was in his study with his subordinates, when Kim entered, followed by Ivan, without knocking slamming the file in front of Day.

"Did you really think, I will never know?"- Kim said looking straight at Day, making him shrink.

"What happened?"- Kamol asked.

"Tell me one thing, where is Night?"- Kim asked, ignoring Kamol.

"He is with his friends." - Day said avoiding eye contact with Kim.

"Look at me and tell me Day. Where is he?"- Kim asked him.

"Who is Night?"- Kamol asked no one in particular.

"They don't know?"- Kim, again directed the question towards Day. Day shook his head in negative.

"Are you fucking nuts Day?"- Kim said.

"Can anyone tell us what's happening here?"- Khom asked.

"Danil abducted his brother and forced him to do whatever he was doing. Talking bad about me and all. Also, Danil sold some intel to Danai. He used our past relationship and his brother to threaten him."- Kim said, dropping the bomb.

"Day?"- Itt questioned him.

"Will you say something or not?"- Itt asked him again.

"It's true, Danil called me on the same day when Kim returned. He told me to kill Kim as soon as I got the chance otherwise, he would kill Night."- Day said looking down.

"Ivan, I want Danil here in next 1 hour along with Night."- Kamol said as he went out.

"You are an idiot you know that."- Kim said, smacking Day.

Everyone left leaving Itt and Day alone.

"Day,----

"I am sorry. I know I should have told you, but he also threatened me with you. I am sorry."- Day said, not looking at him making Itt smack him.

"You are really an idiot."- Itt said before hugging Day.

"I am sorry."- Day said reciprocating his hug.

AFTER 1 HOUR

Everyone was in the meeting room waiting for Ivan and Danil. Ivan was the first to enter the meeting room followed by Danil and a scared Night. As soon as Night's gaze fell upon Day he rushed towards him hugging him.

"Calm down Night. I am here now."- Day said creasing Night's head in order for him to stop shaking.

"Phi."- Night said, hugging Day tightly.

"Danil, you have one chance to explain your actions. After that I don't know if you will ever get any chance so speak."- Ivan said as he sat beside Kim.

"What, I just did what I thought was right. And I am not guilty for whatever I did."- Danil said being non callant.

"Danil, this is not a game."- Kamol said.

"Yes, it is. Even if I have to kill someone for you, I will do that Kamol."- Danil said.

"Danil-----

"Ohh please stop it now. And you, who do you think you are to even say my name it is Sir for you. Don't forget your place." - Danil said, still unbothered.

"What was the intel you gave to Danai?"- Ivan asked still controlling himself.

"I did not. You got wrong information."- Danil said, not looking at him.

"Danil, this is your last chance. tell us the truth otherwise, you know what happens to somone who betrays us." - Ivan said.

"About the weapon deal with Taiwan Mafia."- Danil said.

SLAP 

"Ivan!"- Kim said.

"You sold us out, because of your stupid jealousy. Do you even know what you did Danil."- Kamol said. 

"Yes, I did because I wanted him out of your life. I wanted to frame him and his brother. I did because I wanted you. And I don't regret any of it."- Danil said.

"I am going to talk to Godfather."- Ivan said pulling his phone. 

"Ivan stop we can figure it out."- Kim said, knowing what would happen if the council got involved.

"We can't do anything now Kim. I have to do it. Khom, lock him up. Kamol, inform Fluke about the deal as well."- Ivam said and left before anyone could say anything. 

"Boss?"- Khom asked Kamol. 

"You heard him Khom. he won't back out."- Kamol said. 

Khom went towards Danil who was standing in shock. The reality of what he did started sinking in , making him look at the retreating back of his brother. The person who used to walk with his head high, looked defeated today, shoulder slump, slight tremble in his hands. He followed Khom without saying anything.

Everyone left the office except for Kamol and Kim.

"Kamol"- Kim called him, placing a hand over his.

"I am sorry."- Kim said.

"No, it's not you Kim. It's me. I thought he would.... he would not think of this anything more than that, but I was wrong. If anyone is to blame it is because of me, not anyone else."- Kamol said, looking defeated for the first time in his life.

Kim went towards him, cupping his face.

"Look at me, don't you dare blame yourself Kamol. It was not you, never you. Tell me something- Did you ever give him any kind of hint?"- Kim asked. Kamol shook his head before pulling Kim for a hug.

"Never, it was only twice and first was because we both were drunk and last was because he was drugged. I never knew he would take it like that. I never realised he was obsessed with me to this extent."- Kamol said, his voice trembling a bit.  

They broke the hug when Khom entered the office. 

"Sorry to interrupt but Fluke messaged me, he and Mew will be here tomorrow, and the council will be here day after tomorrow. We are told to go under complete lockdown. No meetings, no deals nothing. And we all are under investigation."- Khom said, a little panic in his voice. 

"Khom, tell everyone to rest for now, and after 2 hours let's have a meeting in the compound. Each and every one should be present. Tell everyone to hand over their phones, laptops and anything, especially Cherry. Keep your eyes on her."- Kamol said. Khom nodded as he left them alone.

"Why Cherry?"- Kim asked.

"Will let you know tomorrow. I think you should inform Jin and May."- Kamol said.

Kim nodded and went to his room. Kamol also went towards Ivan's room.  

"Ivan are you in there?"- Kamol asked knocking on the door.

"Come inside, Kamol."- Ivan said, his voice heavy with emotions.

"Are you Okey?"- Kamol said as he entered his room.

"No, I am not."- Ivan said not looking at Kamol.

"Ivan---

"I am sorry Kamol. It's because of me. You told me to stop him and I did not."- Ivan said, his voice breaking at the end.

"It's not on you Ivan. He is not a kid. He is a grown adult; he is the one who chose this path. Stop blaming yourself. You did everything you could."- Kamol said.   

"But---

"No, you are not going to blame yourself. Rest now I will take care of everything."- Kamol said as he left from their.
