We had a very hard time getting through the crowd. People pushed each other just to get the first row of seat which were rusty metal benches. It was an hour and a half before the crowd calmed down. Out of 50 rows we were in row 38.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the ceremony! Are we all excited?" Spoke Franklin Huge enthusiastically.
The crowed roared, yelling, fainting and pushing people in front to see the famous host.
"Are you nervous?" Asked mom with a warm smile.
To be honest I was, but I don't even know why, it's a 1 in a 3 thousand chance I was going to be on the team.
"Just a little" I said resting my head on her shoulders. I wasn't paying attention to what Franklin was saying at the start, I just wanted to see who was on the team.
"And for the most important news of all, the teams!" Shouted Franklin waving his arms in the air.
The crowd cheered for at least 2 minutes. He said all the other fraction's teams before ours.
"Are we ready for the last team?",Franklin said smiling, "please stand up when I call your name"
"Richard Roll, Carling Tresh, Joy Williamson, Patrick Luck,"
I was half relived and half disappointed because I would have to wait for another 4 years.
"Sorry but Patrick isn't going to be with us, Lyndsey Beet will be instead" said Franklin.
Mom was squeezing my arm, I was shocked, how could that happen.
"Go on honey" she said.
