Escape

Chapter 5

I was feeling better the next day but still was wondering what they were doing. We had to start training and get along with our team and find a plan. I got dressed in my black jeans and put a blue shirt on and went to the dinning hall where they served breakfast. All the other teams where there all quiet, it was quite awkward and I felt shy. The food looked and tasted fantastic, there was toast, juice, cereal, scrambled eggs and so on. My favourite was the round balls of egg called "poached eggs", they were so soft and runny, I felt guilty for eating it without my family. After breakfast the lady who took us on the plane, called Cathy, told us to go to any of the simulation rooms first. There were 12 rooms. There was a tall, dark man with a short beard outside room 7, I went there first. The room was filled with mirrors only and one chair with a computer attached to it, I sat on the chair feeling nervous.
"Hi, my name is Alex, I am going to help you through your simulation. I am going to give you an injection on your arm" he said softly.
"Okay" I said slowly trembling. I felt a pinch of pain and then I was in a completely different room. I was now in a room with lots of furniture, suddenly I felt the cold water tickle my ankle. I looked down and the room was flooding and the water got higher and higher. I panicked and realised I had to get out fast, I ran to the door but it was locked. I scanned the room looking for clues, I found a note on the sofa and it said 4675. This has got to be a pin, there was one right next to the door. I sprinted over there and pressed the buttons, the door swiped open and I woke up in the mirrored room.
"You did a good job" Alex calmly said. I was told to wait out in the waiting area and have a drink. I went looking shocked, so this is how all of the simulations are going to be, so....so real and scary. A few minutes later Joy and Richard joined me sitting on the brown couches. They looked just as shocked as well.
