One of the main reasons why Suna escaped from Aichi was because he hated social gatherings and unfortunately for him, his family loved it.

He shook his head as he tries to find a peaceful corner to sit on. He should've known that the twins love their fair share of social gatherings as well especially when they are the center of attention.

'Why couldn't it be just like last year's celebration?'

It was in the middle of Fall, a Friday afternoon, the 5th of October, 2012. Apparently, the twins have successfully convinced their parents into celebrating their 17th birthday at a beach house half an hour away from town with their closest friends.

Of course it was already a given that the two would bring teammates from the volleyball club.

"Come on Rin! Kita-san and the others would come too."

"I bet ya won't do anything over the weekend anyways."

"You're lucky I can't say no to you.." Suna sighed as he sat down on one of the chairs surrounding the to-be bonfire later in the evening. He watched the twins, arguing again about something that Suna can't hear from where he was sitting.

A wild guess, it probably involves the net that the two are holding on both ends and trying to set up for the friendly beach volleyball game their teammates insisted on playing.

"I'd probably regret this at some point."

Last year, the twins were still too distracted with following Suna around that they forgot to make plans for their birthday. They ended up celebrating it with just a simple sleepover at Suna's apartment.

That was a year ago, when all three of them were still in their freshman year and the only close friends they had was each other.

This year, however, the twins was finally brave enough to ask Kita, their current captain, to come and surprisingly he said yes.

'The Miya Twins Effect huh?'

"Hey Rin! Can ya c'mere?" Atsumu waved at him while Osamu just turned and looked at him.

"What now?" Suna murmured to himself and pushed himself up to walk over to the seemingly troubled teens.

"What's the matter?"

"This idiot here wants to put the net near the seashore." Osamu shrugged. Suna looked from him to Atsumu.

"What? Wouldn't it be fun if we also splashed around the water while playing?" Atsumu asked.

Suna looked back at Osamu who just started massaging his temple while shaking his head.

"Are you serious right now?"

Ataumu stared at him innocently and nodded.

"Have you ever played beach volleyball Tsumu?"

Atsumu shook his head. Suna turned to Osamu.

"He still hasn't meaning I still haven't as well."

"Well.. me neither. But I'm pretty sure we play it over dry sand. We won't be "splashing around the water" Tsumu."

"I told ya."

"But-"

"Ya wanna play or not?"

"The water.."

"Ugh! I give up!" Osamu was about to pass the end of the net he's holding to Suna but he pushed it back to Osamu's chest and held it there firmly.

"Oh no you don't Samu. It's your birthday, both of you. No fighting.. and do the work for your guests." Suna let go, smiling stiffly and tapped Osamu's shoulder. Osamu gave him a dirty look and sighed. He stepped a few steps back.
