By the time the family of three arrived in the city, the sun was starting to set beyond the horizon. Once the van came to a halt in front of their home, Kauli immediately jumped out. "UGH... Finally!" She stretched out her body and took a nice deep breath. 'I hate moving.' She thought. 'All that sitting around, doing nothing makes me stiff!' She went around to the back of the van and opened it up. As she was debating which piece of furniture would provide the best workout, she heard the rest of her family exit the vehicle. "Kauli!" Her mother cried out. "Do you want to at least check out the new house first, before you start unloading?" "Nah, I'm good. I'll check it out later." Finally deciding on the large desk in the van, Kauli lifted it up with one hand and sighed. "I remember this being heavier..." Now bored, Kauli carried the desk inside the new home. When she looked to her left, she saw a staircase leading up. 'Two stories huh? Not bad...' on her right appeared to be the dining room, complete with a little bar like area that allowed you to see into the kitchen. Paying it no mind, Kauli continued to forward towards the area she assumed was the living room. She placed down the desk and left to investigate the second floor.
'Best call dibs on what room I want.' She told herself. She figured that her brother didn't really care about what rooms they got when they moved, he never complained once about it. Heck, even if he did, she'll use that as an excuse for a fight with him. He was the only person she knew that could make her fight seriously. 'Maybe I'll tease his bird for a bit later to get a good spar out of him' She comtiplated as she ascended to the next floor.
Taking a look down the hallway, she saw a total of five doors. One at the very end of the hall, which was most likely a storage closet for spare bedding and what not. First door on her left was a small bathroom. It had a frosted glass shower, a toilet and sink. All the basics. Taking a mental note of the bathroom's location, Kauli proceeded to the other room on the left. What she saw was something that made her stomach churn. An empty powdered pink room was laid before her. To make matters worse, the wretched walls were adorned with little painted on butterflies and hearts. "Well, I found Serey's room." She grumbled to herself. Quickly shutting the door, she checked out the other two rooms. The one on the upper right of the hall appears to be the master bed room. It had another bathroom in it that also connected to the other room on the right side of the hall, which Kauli immediately claimed as her's. She didn't mind sharing a bathroom with her mother. It would make things easier on her when she is on her period, considering how squeamish Serey is around blood.
As Kauli was descending down the staircase, Serey was headed up. "The upper left room is your's." She said casually, which he nodded in response. Serey opened the door to the room and immediately took a deep breath. "Nothing a little paint can't fix..." he said under his breath. He always hated how his sister would give him the crap rooms. He would confront her about this, but he already knew that would be a losing battle. For him at least. She would use that as an excuse to pick a fight with him. Normally, this wouldn't bother him. Serey enjoys a good spar every once in awhile, but sparring with Kauli was dangerous. She gets too caught up in the heat of the fight and losses control against a strong opponent. It's as if she enjoys causing pain to others. Serey shuddered at the memory of their last fight. So many people where hurt because of her, and Kauli.... She locked herself in her room for weeks on end after the incident. She knew what she had done... yet she still harassed Serey to fight with her, always saying it won't be like that time, but Serey knew better. Winning was everything to Kauli. Whenever she is losing or is cornered in a fight, she snaps.
Serey brought himself out his thoughts and continued to look around the rest of the house. After he had a good feel of his new home, Serey went back to the van to help his sister unload the furniture, while his mother and uncle took care of the smaller things.
A couple hours later, everything was placed inside the house. Ginga took a look at his watch and yawned. 'Nine p.m. Better leave Bulma a message that I'll be in late tomorrow.' Yugen read her little brother's face like a book. "Do you need to stay the night?" She said playfully teasing him. "Oh no, I was just going sleep in the van!" He replied back in the same playful tone. Yugen chuckled and handed him a spare blanket and pillow. Ginga gave his sister a nod and plopped down on the couch. Yugen then left to head up the stairs. Both of her children were already in their new rooms, most likely asleep. Feeling a little drowsy herself, Yugen decided to follow their example and went to bed herself. When she sat down on her bed, she unclasped a golden necklace and held it in her hand. She gingerly stroked the blue gem in the center of it. 'I wonder if he is still wearing his...?' Shaking the thought from her mind, she laid down and drifted off to sleep.
