"How should I call you then?" I asked the stranger in the mask as we walk down the hallway.
"Just call me boss or X." X? Where have I seen that before?
"It was you wasn't it?" I asked after surfing my memories for when I've seen it.
"I don't know what you are talking about."
"Bullshit. The note in my desk. It was you, right?" I asked.
"Yeah." he nodded and gesture for me to go into the room he had the door open to.
"Thank you."
"My pleasure, beautiful." The room had a table in the middle with papers all over it. There was a board with pictures. Pictures of my parents, the investigators, Edmund and me.
"You've been watching me." I stated still shocked. He said nothing as I looked over all the files he had out for me. "Why do you want to help me?" I asked him suspiciously.
"That, my love I can't say at the moment but believe me when I tell you that I won't stop until I find YOUR son." I didn't miss how he forced the word 'your' out of his mouth but decided to let it slip by for now.
"You are horrible at leaving notes." I pointed out and he rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed making me giggle.
"I'm a man of few words." he defended himself and I just giggled again.
"I can tell." I said amused. He smiled. "so what do you have so far?" I asked him going back to the reason he kidnapped me on the first place. Which by a weird reason I don't mind at all. Maybe is because he is genuinely willing to help me find my son.
"We've been watching your father. This are the three places that stood out the most." He showed me pictures of my dad in a warehouse, an orphanage and a hospital.
"Do you know what he does during his visits?" I asked him.
"He has a friend at the hospital that is very sick, he helps the orphanage but we thought we should look into that some more so I have people on it already, and the warehouse is full of boxes and other things not so fun." He explained.
"Do you know what he keeps on the boxes?" I asked him hoping he does.
"Come on, you are offending me." I gave him a knowing look and he sighed. "I'll be right back." he told me before leaving. About two minutes later he came back with a small box.
"This are some of the things he keeps there." he handed me the box and waited for me to open the box.
"Should I open it? I mean, this is invading someone's privacy even if it's my dad." I was nervous for some reason.
"I think you should. It's not his staffs anyway." I gave him a confused look before opening the box.
"How is this possible?" I was shocked to see what was in the box.
