Chapter 154: Hallelujah!

Arriving at the military hospital, Lisa steps out of the car. She looks at white building filled with windows. Without looking back, she spoke to Bambam.

"I won't be long."

"Mm."

Stepping forward, she proceeds towards the entrance. Before she left De L'amour, she had sent her workers home. There wasn't much left to do, so she didn't mind, and like her words, she couldn't take long. She needs to get back to her company in time, so when Jungkook picks her up, he won't know she left work.

Entering the hospital, all the nurses and doctors greeted her. They already know who she is and respected her as Lisa Manoban and not as the supermodel or the granddaughter of General Kim.

"Miss Manoban, welcome."

A middle aged doctor greets Lisa upon her arrival. She looks at him and smiles, "Doctor Wong. How is my brother's condition?"

"He woke up an hour ago, his condition has stabilized. Give it three to seven days and he'll be fully recovered. General Kim was just here, but he left 30 minutes ago."

"Mm. Thank you for taking care of him."

"Haha, not at all. I am a doctor, seeing my patients well is my job."

Lisa chatted with Doctor Wong for a bit, then she headed to Bangchan's room. She knocked on the door then entered.

Inside the room, Bangchan laid bored on the bed. He was practically wrapped like a mummy and couldn't do anything. However, the tv was on, so he could only watch whatever was on.

Hearing the knock and the door open, he didn't give much thought to it. It was probably just one of the nurses coming to check on him.

"I thought you didn't like watching this drama?"

"I don't, but now, it seems kind of inter--"

He choked on his remaining words. The voice that he was very familiar with came to his ears. He turned his head in the direction of the door and was at a loss for words. Staring at the person, his heart tightens.

Lisa smiles as she puts a bag on the table and walks towards the bed. "Sorry I couldn't come see you earlier."

Bangchan didn't say a word. His eyes stared at his older sister, watching her every move. Occasionally, he will blink his eyes, to make sure he wasn't imagining things. Until he was sure that it was reality and not a dream, tears slowly slid down his eyes.

"Sis....."

"What's wrong? Are you feeling pain anywhere?"

Lisa couldn't help but ask. Doctor Wong said Bangchan's condition has stabilized, so why is her younger brother crying?

Knowing she was worried, Bangchan shakes his head and smiles. "I'm fine. I just thought I was seeing things...."

She frown hearing his words, "Why would you say that?"

Bangchan looked at his sister, then he looks up at the white ceiling, "That man said Sunghoon and I had been abandoned. That we didn't hold any importance in the world..."

Hearing the word abandoned, Lisa's eyes darkened and her aura turned dangerous, "No matter what anyone says, grandpa and I will never abandon you. You are a Kim and my brother, never forget that."

He turn his head back to look at his sister. His softened at her words and he smile, "I know.... sis, what's going to happen to Sunghoon?"

Lisa sighs and sits down on the chair at the side of the bed.

"Sunghoon no longer has a family." She looks at Bangchan and continues, "But, I hope to help him and let him know that he is not alone. Can I ask you to help him too? I don't want to see him get devoured by his own darkness."

"....."

Bangchan didn't say anything. His mind drifted to the time when Sunghoon chose to sacrifice himself, so that he could escape.... Then the image of Sunghoon's mother appeared in his head... his eyes dimmed and he nodded his head with confidence.

"I want to help him too."

He really does. If he can help someone, like how his sister helped him, then that will mean a lot to him.

Lisa's heart softened more as she watched her brother. She knows that, if Bangchan can help Sunghoon, the boy will definitely strive to live on. Brushing the discussion away, she reaches over to the bag on the table and takes out a round tin.

"I had my assistant buy your favorite soup."

"Thanks, sis. I was going to starve from eating all these military food."

Lisa chuckles and helps Bangchan sit up and feeds him the soup. What she doesn't know, is that, if the King of Jealousy was to be here, he would be eating a ton of vinegar.
