On his feet in an instant, wild eyes scanning his office space as a plan began to unfold, he leaned across his desk, yanking the clear plastic disc from the reader, his wall screen blinking off.
Cold coffee cup in hand, he strode out into the hallway, casually taking a sip.
'Can I let anyone know where you'll be, Agent Witwer?'
Shaking his head, jacket in hand, he swallowed quickly.
"Just following a lead, Janet. Not sure where it will take me."
Huffing a laugh at her 'Yeah, I hate those' response, he pushed out of the glass doors and into his waiting car. Paper cup clutched in his teeth, pulling his jacket on, gaze to the scenery sliding past at a sideways angle, he slid the cup into its holder, forgoing vocal commands; taking control of the steering column as the car slid into position.
Unfettered access.
Burgess had it.
/He/ had it.
At least for now.
"Trust me Agatha. That's all I ask."
