Lexi's POV:
By around seven o'clock, people started to come in. Everyone was nice! They greeted me with a smile and said 'hello' before going to their seats. No one really took the one next to mine because... well, I really don't know, but I just get the feeling that their whispers are about me. Maybe it's cause I'm new. "Hello, I'm Chan Min. May I sit beside you?" he asked me in a cheerful yet soft-spoken way. I nodded in response before saying, "I'm Lexi by the way." "Lexi? Nice to meet you. You're new here, right?" "Mhm." "I see you've met Dan!" he said, greeting Dan. "Chan Min's a great friend of mine," Dan said. "Since grade school," said Chan Min. "Oh, then you should probably sit here!" I talked to Chan Min, getting up and ready to leave. "No, no please, stay there. It's okay. Besides, I see you two have become acquainted." "Oh, thank you."
"Good morning, class," the teacher greeted us. We all stood up and greeted her back. "I am Ms. Lee and I'll be your homeroom and Dance mentor for the rest of this school year." She was pretty, probably in her late twenties. She had a fair skin, rosy cheeks, a good height (not too tall nor too short), and a pleasant smile. Her brown hair was tied up in a messy bun and she wore a white ruffled blouse with a black cardigan that emphasized her curves, as well as her fitted black skirt that extended until her knee.
"Alright," she started again, "this year, you will all be having only one group for the rest of school year in my class. The members you'll be grouped with will also serve as you official dance troupe." People started to whisper and converse with each other the moment she said the words, DANCE TROUPE. Well, I guess I'm not the only one who thinks this is new. "That's right, Dance Troupe. By the end of this quarter, we will be having a competition between sections and year levels in this campus. This only applies for us here in college, okay? Now, from time to time, I'll be allowing you to practice in my class. But don't be too excited since you still have about three months."
I was probably among the many who were very much excited for this competition. Although, before actually competing with the other levels, we'd have to battle among our class first, then eventually our batch, after that, it's a go to the actual thing. "Now for your groupings!" Ms. Lee announced. Everyone was pretty much hoping to be grouped with specific people while I on the other hand, only hoped to be grouped with Dan since he was the only one I knew. Oh and Chan Min as well. "There'll be four groups with twelve members each, alright? Now for the first group..." and so she began.
I was placed in the last group with, LUCKILY, Dan and Chan Min. Well, this'll be fun!
Dan's POV:
I was assigned to the same group as Lexi and Chan Min. I was lucky at that part, the rest... well, not so much. Our group consisted of six guys and six girls. Four of which are geeks, an emo guy, a mean girl, a LOUD guy, an extremely silent girl and the princely guy. Then of course there's us: ME, LEXI, and Chan Min. I was an artist, Lexi was... Lexi, and Chan Min was a singer. I have no idea how our group's supposed to cooperate when almost everyone's personality clashes. This is going to be one long school year!
"That'll be all for this morning, you may take your break." Everyone left the class in groups: The cool and popular kids, the geeks, the LOUD ones, the silent types, and the normal people. "Hey, Dan, can I eat with you guys?" Lexi asked me. I nodded and continued arranging my stuff for the next class. "Hey! Lexi, am I right?" Jake asked. "Mhm." "So, hanging out with them?" "Yup." "Hm. I wouldn't stay long with them though. They're classified as one of the losers in this campus," Jake whispered loudly to Lexi, giving her a tap on the shoulder. "See you later, Lexi!" Jake said before exiting the room with his friends. "That guy, seriously!" Chan Min exclaimed. "It's okay, you guys have been the best people I've met so far!" Lexi said with a smile.
We all headed out the room to grab some snacks. Lexi's not a bad person at all.
