Cy's POV:

Since that time when Dan had tutored Beatrice, she would always start hanging out with us... well only with Dan actually. Every lunch and break time, I don't know if it was just me who noticed it, but it seemed as though Dan only saw Beatrice and no one else. They were always just the ones conversing with each other because often, their topics were only for both of them to understand. And trust me, this has been going on for about a month now.

Beatrice would even cling unto Dan's arm from time to time and Dan would sometimes wrap his arm around Beatrice's shoulders. They'd walk way ahead of us, leaving the four of us behind. And today was exactly like one those days.

"They could've just excused themselves and said they were gonna have a date," Chan Min blurted out. Everyone else nodded in agreement and I looked at Lexi. She kept her pained yet soft gaze on the two who were exchanging glances at each other. "Aish. Does he really have to keep wrapping his arm around her shoulders?" Chan Min commented. "Do they have to be showy in public, I mean seriously," Jake spoke up as well. "They're not even together!" Chan Min exclaimed. Lexi only gave out a sigh. I knew I had to do something to lighten up the mood and just on time, I tripped over a rock and fell on the pile of snow. "Yah, Cy! Are you feeling that hot?" Chan Min asked. "HAH! Cy, hot? Nice joke!" Lexi said and everyone started laughing. PHEW! I managed to cheer everyone up unintentionally. Suddenly Jake screamed, "BURY HIM IN SNOW!" All three of them surrounded me and put snow all over me.

"GUYS! IT'S FREEZING COLD!" I yelled out with laughter. Their smiling faces surrounded me as I lay on my snow bed with a snow blanket on the ground. We were all laughing when Beatrice called out, "Guys! What's up over there?! Let's go have lunch!" and Dan agreed and said, "Yeah! We're starving!" We looked at each other and gave eye contacts with messages. They helped me up and gave me a hand in taking the snow off of my clothing. They waited for us and when we rejoined they had a world of their own again. "They wait for us then leave us. Marvelous!" Jake whispered. Lexi chuckled with a shake of the head while everyone just nodded their heads in agreement.

When we got a table they sat beside each other and Lexi was to the right of Dan. Jake was seated where usually the eldest or the father would sit. I sat to his right and Chan Min across Dan. All the while, Dan was only talking to Beatrice and basically had his back to Lexi.

Lexi's POV:

I just couldn't take it anymore. As soon as I finished my lunch, I left the table and headed for the classroom. And no, he didn't even notice me leave. Only Jake and the other guys did. Jake ran after me while the others, one by one made excuses so they could leave the table. "You like him don't you," Chan Min asked me. I nodded my head. "I'm sorry for what's happening, Lex," Chan Min told me, giving me a gentle pat on the back. I smiled at him and he did as well. I wish he'd tell me the same...

Dan and Beatrice got back to the classroom about ten minutes after we did and he didn't even bother acknowledging my presence as his seatmate. He just put down his things for the next class and sat next to Beatrice. I noticed Chan Min looking at the two of them before giving out a sigh. "Guess I'm not the only one affected, huh?" I stated. He nodded his head before his eyes turned big and he shook his head violently. "N-no. W-why would I be affected?" "Mmm... right. Okay, Chan Min." "YAH! I SAID I WASN'T!" "And I didn't say that I disagreed! I even said 'okay' didn't I?" I replied with an evil smirk. "What's wrong with him?" Jake asked, approaching me and Chan Min. I shrugged and wrote down some of the reminders so far in my notebook. My mind was kinda relaxed until a thought came into my head: It seems as though Dan has disappeared from my life. It feels like I won't ever get him back...

"Good Afternoon class," Our homeroom teacher came in and greeted us. "Now for today, I will be changing your seating arrangements since we're halfway through the school year already. Dan and Beatrice immediately looked at each other and apparently Chan Min noticed it too. Lucky for the two of them, they were seated together and luckily for me, I was with the guys. To my left was Chan Min then to my right was Jake. Beside him was Cy. But to the unfortunate side of things, Dan and Beatrice were just behind us. HOW GREAT! (-___-)

"Uhh, Lex –" Dan said before Beatrice started asking him some random questions about places in China.

The day finally ended and I decided that I wanted to walk alone going to the dorm. The guys permitted and as usual, Beatrice and Dan were together and the first ones out of the room. I walked on the snow-covered streets of our school grounds with the cold winds blowing past me with a whistle. I let out a sigh and my breath appeared to be white smoke. Just when I thought I was alone, I heard footsteps from behind and suddenly...
