Sinking lower into the bath I try to forget about the document I just signed. About how I just signed away my daughter's life, threw it into the trash. Allowing the hospital to take her off of life support should she fall into a slumber they claim she will never wake up from, and she won't; should they have any say in it. Which they do. Taking a sip of my wine to wash down the lump of pills in my throat I will myself to go to sleep, slipping deeper into the tub I vaguely hear my only phone ringing from the stand it's charging on in the kitchen.
"I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming," Ring, ring, ringgggg, "I AM COMING!!!". Running to the kitchen I stumble over an empty wine bottle. Taking another swig of my wine, I take one long gulp, and then answer the phone unsteady and breathless. "Hello? Kinder resi-," Hiccupping I close my eyes battling the onslaught of dizziness that has haunted me for the past year, "dence, how may I h-help?".
