Elena Pov.

"Many years ago, I couldn't say how much time. The earth was first filled with creatures: fairies, mermaids, werewolves, vampires, ninfs, trolls, floresty's, witches, warlocks, casters, kanimas and much more to the point you couldn't count them all. Also there weren't humans-"

"Are you serious, you expect us to believe that?" Mayor Lockwood interrupted. She sighed.

"I know it's hard to believe, but it's the truth all this creatures that are now fantasies existed thousand and billions of years ago." She smiled to herself and continued.

"Without humans in the way, they all lived in peace. Obviously they had territories, but there wasn't a king or queen, a ruler, everyone was in a way, free." She stood up and had this smile on her face, the story made her happy, her memories did.

"This creatures were born this way, all of them, depending on their species, at a certain age they would develop their abilities and at the time, this creatures weren't cursed. Vampires had the ability to procreate and choose at what age to immortalize themselves. Werewolves didn't have to kill to activate their wolf and their transformations were painless. Mermaids could choose between tail or legs." She suddenly stopped her enthusiastic tale and sighed passing her hand through her hair.

"What happened? What made it change?" Asked Matt, he was anxious to keep hearing and doubt in his eyes, but why would she lie to us.

"One day someone or something came, it created humans and they were suddenly more of them than the mythical creatures, and humans hated what this creatures were, it became worse when they discovered most looked exactly like them." She frowned and there was anger in her voice, but continued before she could be interrupted.

"It could of been jealousy, no one could of been sure not even the ones alive in the time. This someone was so powerful it built the curse for the next generation that would come of the creatures-" She sighed frustrated.

"Werewolves would suffer pain in their transformation, and now only able to change while the full moon, it also made sure that only the ones that killed would activate the curse, they would now change. Vampires now had to hide from the sun and couldn't procreate." She looked up at us.

"Do you understand where I want to go?" She didn't gave time so we could answer and continued.

"This someone cared for us too in a way, it just cared more for the humans, that's why it put like a safe for every creature. Like with vampires you have to die with the blood of one to become one, before you were born that way. And with witches, warlocks and casters it made them protectors of nature only now they had limits to their power. The rest of the creatures, it didn't change with them... so they were hunted, murdered like animals. I was told it lasted centuries, but at the end humans won." She sat down and it was silent until Finn broke the silence.

"Won what?" There was no answer that she could give us, she seemed lost for words at Finn's question.

"It's a horrible story." Caroline added.

Victoria smiled while I couldn't understand why. Humans hunted and killed them for what?...

"I haven't finished the story, it gets worse... it always does." Before she was questioned she continued.

"Many creatures didn't want their children to suffer in this new world now ruled by horrible humans." I couldn't help, but to feel a bit offended, I know what they did was wrong, but I'm human too.

"They gave up, most only waited to die and be reunited in the after world with their loved ones." She smiled softly, maybe because she saw how much the story was affecting us or because at least, they would find peace at the end.
