CHAPTER 9.1 (His Side)

-Nate's POV-

*Almost a year ago.....

"And the King and Queen of Hearts are...."And drumrolls everywhere. Nakatunganga lang akong nag-antay kung sino yung makakakuha ng title samantalang 'tong katabi ko sobra nang ninerbyos kasi daw baka siya na yung tawagin. Nag-expect daw kasi siya na makakuha man lang ng isang title this JS Prom. What's the big deal kung hindi makakuha diba? Gold ba yan?

"Mr. Nate Gabriel Buenavista and Ms. Naphtali Brix Binetez!!!! Congratulations..."

"What the fuck just happened?" Seriously?! Ako? Hahahaha. Natatawa parin ako sa sarili ko. Hindi talaga kasi ako makamove on eh. Napunong hiyawan ang buong stadium nung papunta na ng stage yung Queen samantalang ako, tawa parin ng tawa. I'm LMFAO really!

"Nate!" Nilingon ko si Loi (yung ninerbyos kanina) habang tumatawa parin.

"Oh? Hahaha"

"The teachers are calling your name already! You need to get your ass on stage."

"Ahh ganun ba? Hahaha. Sorry" Tawa parin ako ng tawa.Nagmukha na akong takas sa mental.

Nakarecover naman ako sa mga pangyayari. After I received my sash, the teachers instructed us to go in the middle for the first dance. Pumunta naman kaming dalawa.

"After the King and Queen's first dance, pwede narin kayong makipagsayaw sa mga partners nyo sa dance floor. And that would be after this song." Then as if on cue, the song entitled 'A Thousand Years' played.

Una, nagkahiyaan pa kami. Naririnig ko pa nga yung mga cuss niya. She looks so beautiful but why is she so shy? Lol weird.

"Tae! Ba't pa naging Queen ako? Aish! Jenjang (sh*t)!" Nung napansin niyang I'm watching her, she smiled at me then looked away.

My eyes grew wider and my jaw dropped after seeing that smile. My heart skips a beat and I was left frozen. So, what just happened?

"Nate?"

"Nate?!"

"NATE?!"

"Ha?! Ahh s-sorry! What is it again?" I bit my lower lip and started to become nervous. Seriously? When was the last time I felt this? Or the right question is, did I?

"Start na daw tayong sumayaw sabi nung mga teachers."

"Oh s-s-sorry." We moved closer to each other. I can feel my hands started to get as cold as ice. I closed my eyes and placed my hands on her hips. Shizz!! I'm starting to get embarrassed. Siya naman, nilagay niya yung dalawang kamay niya on my neck. Our body is so close to each other and I'm very afraid of one thing...

Starting that day, I feel so shy approaching her. (As if naman inaapproach ko siya dati pa.) Para lang akong nobody.

Nung recognition last March, she's on the 5th place while I'm on 6th. I'm so happy deep inside that time kasi magkasunod kaming tinawag ng adviser namin and we sat next to each other at shempre ako lang Masaya nun. 2nd place kasi yung bestfriend nyang si Eyna kaya ang layo nila sa isa't-isa wala siyang kausap.

4th year... We were still classmates and the nicest thing that happen is she sits in front of me. Ang saya diba? I can get a glimpse of her everyday. Lagi din akong gumigising ng umaga para magkasabay kaming pumuntang school. I didn't absent just to see her everyday and I got nothing to regret naman since lagi din siyang present. Adik na ba ako masyado?Hindi pa nga ako dumadamoves eh.
