"Hey mom?" I call upstairs.
"Doing laundry, come to me!" She yells back. I walk upstairs and go into her room.
"Mom, I think you should get drunk once before I leave." I state, trying not to grin.
"What?!" She exclaims.
"I'm sorry for the rudeness, but you need a fun drunk night before your daughter leaves! I will be the designated sober person, obviously, and you can just have some fun!" I tell her.
"No! That would only make me less nervous... And more relaxed... Okay fine I'll do it!" She relents.
"Okay, great! I will see you in the kitchen at 9:00 pm!" I say, clapping.
"Go pack for Friday." She finishes. I sigh and walk to my room to begin putting my stuff in some boxes I got from the garage. Pretty soon though, my energy is gone, and I have to lie down. Lately I've been keeping granola bars in my bedroom for these instances, so my legs don't have to go downstairs, and I eat one before crawling in bed and taking a nap. When I wake up I see that Sofia texted me 4 times, called me twice, and Evan gave me a call too!
"Damn, what's the fuss about? Can't a pregnant lady take a nap?!" I mumble. After looking at my phone again though, I see that the date is changed, and it's 1:30pm! WTF?! How did I sleep almost 24 hours?! Okay then... I'm gonna call Sofia back now, then hopefully find out what's up with Evan as well.
RING RING RING
"Victoria! What the hell happened to you?! I've been texting and calling you!!!!!!"
"I'm sorry! I fell asleep yesterday for like ever! What's going on? Do you know why Evan is trying to get ahold of me too?"
"We can move into the house today!!! Evan wanted to let you know!"
"WHAT?! THATS FUCKING AWESOMETASTICAL!!!!"
"I thought you would think so!"
"So what's happening??? Are you guys moved in?"
"We wanted to wait for you, and we haven't told out parents yet."
"Thanks! Oh my gosh I'm so excited! Let's tell our parents, then get packed and move into our NEW HOUSE!"
"Okay YAY! See you soon!"
"Yep! Bye!"
"Bye!"
~~Call Over~~
I run downstairs and tell my parents. My mom tries not to cry, and my dad glares at my stomach. After I get everything that I hadn't gotten packed in boxes, start to load them up in a U-Haul I had picked up the day before. My neighbor, Melanie, saw me and wanted to help. I gratefully accepted and we talked for a bit while moving everything. She's 25, and studying to become a paleontologist. When we are done, she gives me a hug as she has lived next to my house her whole life, and she babysat me sometimes when I was about 6. For the last time, I go inside my home that I live in, and say a tearful goodbye to my parents. I attach the U-Haul to my Tahoe, and drive away from the only home I've ever known. On my way there, I call Sof using Bluetooth. She is leaving for the house in about 20 minutes. After we get off the phone, my next call is Evan. He says he's leaving in 2 minutes. I tell him to meet me at Sofia's house, so we can drive to our new home together. He thinks it's a great idea. I pull up in front of her house, and knock on the door. Sofia opens it and has a happy-surprised look on her face
"Hey! What's up? Come in!"
"Hey! Sorry for coming by unannounced, I wanted you, Evan, and I to go to the new house together!"
"Ohhhh! Yeah that's awesome!"
"Evan should be here in a few, want help packing?"
"Cool, sure!" Sofia accepts. We pack her room first, talking about the things as we go. She went to a 5 Seconds of Summer concert and Luke Hemmings signed her iPad case. Pretty soon, Evan comes by so we get ready to go. Sofia and I put the furniture in her U-Haul already, so Evan's help isn't needed. We drive out, Evan, then Sofia, then me. Alphabetical order, obviously! The driveway fits 2 cars, because of the trailers. I get to unlock the door, since I got the key from Robert. Wen we first step in, the place already feels like home. We start laughing and crying and jumping and hugging and running around! We spend the rest of the day moving boxes and furniture in to our brand new house. Evan and I finish our room, then go help Sofia with hers. After that, and a pizza, we go straight to sleep. It's already 10:45, and tomorrow is Sofia and I's birthday!
We wake up at our own time, me, then Evan, then Sofia. She stayed up late making cool birthday pictures. (AN: lol that sounds like coloring, it's editing photos!) I'm sitting on the floor drinking coffee I picked up from Starbucks.
"Hey birthday girl!" Evan says, kissing me on the head and grabbing a coffee from the counter.
"Hey! What do you want to do today? We could go down to the State park, or the Port of Allyn, or the other park!" I squeal.
"Ummmm how about the Beards Cove park? It has tables," Evan replies.
"I'd like that, but before we decide, we should ask Sofia what she wants to do," I say. Evan nods and we sip our coffee, chatting and waiting for Sofia. She wakes up at around 11:50, and starts drinking her coffee before saying hello.
"What a morning person!" Evan says sarcastically.
"I am! I was just thirsty, that's all," Sofia answers, acting graceful.
"I thought we could go down to BCCO park! Have a picnic, play some Frisbee." I suggest.
"Sounds fun, I'll go get a Frisbee from the store and meet you there!" Sofia nods, and makes for the door.
"Might want to get dressed first!" I call, and hear her turn then run down to her room. I go put on some clothes that I can move about in, but still look good. Evan comes and gets dressed too, and we go make the lunch together.
"I got you guys a cake. Red velvet with coconut pecan frosting. And 'Happy Birthday Sofia and Victoria!' Written on it," Evan says, smiling.
"You're too sweet! Well we can pick it up before we go to the park, so it will be here when we get back. We should also get ourselves some plates and silverware," I decide.
The day goes great. Everything was so pretty, even for November. The park was probably a bad idea considering, but we were having so much fun we didn't even notice. Pretty soon it's 11:00, and I'm beat. After one last little cake hurrah, we all go to bed.
This chapter was 1,320 words! Sorry it took so long to update, I literally have no idea what to write. I'm thinking about skipping forward to the day she gives birth, but idk! Let me know what you think! I will try to update more often, but I am going to my Grandmas next Sunday for a week. Yay Portland! Also, I got my NatureBox today, and it's amazing! I don't feel bad for snacking when I'm done, and it tastes delish!
