Someone
It’s nice to have someone check up on you,
to text or call you and ask if you’re okay.
It feels so good to have that someone,
who cares for you that way.
It’s nice to have someone who cares for you,
to be there by your side when you need somebody.
It’s nice to have someone by your side
who listens and never judges you.
It’s nice to have someone who loves you,
making sure you feel appreciated.
Oh how I wish to have that someone right now,
but the one I love, loved someone else.
