Reasons
If you ask me why I love you,
I couldn't give you a list on paper.
I would rather tell and show you.
I tell you through my poems and letters,
play the guitar and sing love songs.
I will be there when you need someone to cry on.
I may not be good at comforting words,
but I will surely show up when you call me.
I will let you see the stars shining bright
until you can smile and laugh genuinely again.
There are reasons why I admire you,
enough reasons to give my all for you.
I love you just the way you are.
Your smile has captivated me since day one
and your laugh has healed a part of me.
I whispered a prayer one time
and then I met someone like you.
You brought peace in my world
and I couldn't ask for more but to be with you.
You are the reason I’m writing this poem, love.
