Charlotte's POV
"Alright guys I'm heading out." Chelsea said holding some flowers and looking gorgeous. Okay, yea, I'm not over her yet. But getting over someone is harder than it looks. I mean, god, she's too cute to not fall head over heels for. Chelsea left the house then Anna started asking me questions.
"I see the look on your face. Do you still like her?"
"Yea."
"Charlotte! She's in a relationship!"
"Don't you think I know that! It breaks my heart just thinking about it."
"When are you gonna get over this?"
"I don't know! Getting over someone is harder than it looks. I can't stop thinking about her. Even when I try to get my mind off her it only wanders off until it finds her again."
"You're right. I'm sorry. This whole thing is probably really hard on you."
I didn't say anything. I just got up and headed towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Anna asked
"I'm gonna go take a walk. You know, clear my head."
"Okay," Anna said with a sympathetic look on her face,"be safe."
"Always." I said then left. I didn't know where to go so I just wandered until I found myself at the beach. About 2 hours must've past as I was sitting on the shore of the beach thinking about what's been happening in my life. Sleepless nights, thoughts drowning me, pain steaming down my face into my pillow almost every night. It's been rough and I don't know if I'm anywhere near the end of this nightmare. As I was thinking about ways to get over Chelsea, I heard a voice. It sounded just like her and Lauren. I looked to my right and saw them walking towards me but they were far away enough to where they probably couldn't see me much. I got up and ran to a near by bush. I listened in on their conversation but as soon as I heard what they were saying I immediately regretted listening.
"You're so beautiful." Chelsea complimented.
"You are!" Lauren said bumming into her playfully.
"You're more! Look at you! How did I get so lucky?"
"I don't know."
"Same here."
Chelsea then looked in my direction and I ducked under the bush more so she couldn't see me. Once I lifted my head, she was no longer looking in my direction and had her focus on Lauren once again. They started walking further down the shore line on the beach. After seeing this I felt tears in my eyes. Not allowing myself to cry, I held in the tears and ran back home.

Once I got home I ran straight into my bedroom. Anna came in obviously seeing me run in.
"Charlotte are you okay? Yea I'm fine. There was a bee following me on my way home. That's all." I lied
"Oh. Okay."
"Yea. Um, I'm tired. I think I'm gonna go to bed. I'll see you in the morning."
"Okay. Goodnight." Anna said before walking out.
"Goodnight." I replied
Once Anna left the room I couldn't hold in the tears any longer. All the pain I felt started streaming down my face like a river. I couldn't seem to stop it no matter what I did. I got into bed and cried into my pillow. I felt this almost stinging feeling in my chest. It's like I could feel my heart slowing and painfully breaking inside my chest.

After a little while longer I could hear Chelsea's arrival back home. I then closed my eyes looking as if I had been sleeping. When Chelsea eventually walked into the bedroom, I could feel her eyes looking at me. I smiled ever so slightly, so she wouldn't notice, thinking about her beautiful dark brown eyes. Suddenly I felt a sink at the end of my bed and a hand on my back. I then heard Chelsea talking to her self.
"God, Charlotte, I'm so sorry. I don't know if you can hear me, but I can see that you've been crying. I hate to see you like this but you have to understand that I'm happy with Lauren. You'll find someone other than me one day. And when you do we'll laugh about this whole thing one day. But this is how it has to be. I'm with Lauren, I'm happy with her."
The sink in the bed lifted up, indicating that she got up off the bed. I felt her hand on my head and her soft whisper.
"I'm sorry." She then kissed my head and I slightly blushed.
I could hear her then walk toward her bed. The light then went out so I could tell she went to sleep. I really do need to get over her. Other wise things could get really really bad.
*End of Flashback*
"Okay. Thanks Charlotte!" I said over the phone.
"Yea. Who knew that you were actually behind that bush!" Lauren giggled
"Yea. Sorry about that you guys."
"It's all good Charlotte." I said
"Okay good! Well that's basically what happened with me that day. Do you wanna hear anymore?" Charlotte asked
"Nah. We're good." I answered
"Well, I do. When did you get over Chelsea?" Lauren asked getting a little defensive.
"It felt like forever but it was only a couple weeks after I saw you guys on your date."
"Okay. That's it." Lauren said calming down.
"Okay cool! See you guys when you get back from your honeymoon! Enjoy Hawii!" Charlotte said
"We will! Thanks again!" I said before hanging up the phone.
"Okay now back to our story!" Lauren said with a smile.
"Okay, well, a couple nights after our date..."
*Start of Flashback...again*
