Roy's POV

"I'm telling you man, she tries too hard. She's just annoying "

"Roy, are you sure you're not overreacting? You know you tend to do that."

"Damn it, Chandler, I know what I saw!"

"See you're overreacting."

"Ugh!" I grunted, resting my head in my hands.

"Is that her?" Chandler asked. I jerked up a little too eager to see where he was motioning to. I saw Madison walk in with Grace Evans. Looks like she's already made a friend. "She's cute Roy, what were you thinking. You know if you tried, she might even like you." He said with an astonished look on his face. I glared at him, but he only smiled and continued, "I'm gonna go talk to her."

"Don't you dare."

"Oooo! Roy's gettin' all defensive." He said with a dumbest look on his face.

"Chandler, just shut up."

"Roy, I think I should go talk to her."

"No, you should not." I firmly insisted.

"I'm going to."

"No-" I started reaching for his sleeve but I merely missed.

"Here I go!" he stated in a sing-song voice.

I watch in disbelief as he walks over to where Madi and Grace sit. I've become too familiar with match-maker Chandler. Madi doesn't seem anything short of the other prissy girls that try to talk to me every other day. I'm sure he's going to set me up on a date, that I won't bother going to. You wouldn't believe how many dirty looks I get from some girls and their friends, and then the looks that I get from the girls that just don't take no for an answer. It's disgusting. I know I sound like a jerk, but, they're all the same.

My phone vibrates in my hand and my breath quickens a little.

Mom: We need to talk.

An unsettling feeling rises in my stomach and I have a feeling I know what about.

"Roy!" I hear Chandler shout across the room. I look over to seem him waving his arms in the arm like a maniac. I open my mouth to say something sarcastic but I quickly shut it when I see Madi glaring at me with such disdain. I look back to my phone grumbling when I hear Chandler say his farewell's and make his way back to his desk.

Mom: Now

"She's nice, not to mention pretty. What's your problem, Roy? I'm beginning to think you're gay."

I give the most dirtiest look I could muster up. He puts his hands up in surrender and quickly amends, "Okay, Okay, Jesus if looks could kill, I would've been cut up into a thousand pieces and bones crushed into dust, with the exception of my collar bone which you would've used to cut me up-"

"Chandler."

"Look I'm just saying, if you don't ask her out some else will."

"First of all, I don't care. Second of all, it's her first day, no one's going to ask her out."

At that moment, Mr. Williams walked in.

"Alright class, I know you are tired from your break, but fear not! For I will wake you up with a group project!" I let out a short groan along with the rest of the class, but he continued, "You will work in groups of four, not three or five, just four. I've taken up the challenge of assigning you your own groups. Group one: Audrey, Braden, Macey, Clara. Group two: Roy Grace, Madi and Chandler. Group three: Keely..." But I had already zoned out.
