Dear Sam,

Tomorrow your brother is graduating from college. You're really proud of him and hope he finds a job that he doesn't entirely hate. It's 1:20 A.M. right now and you have to get up at 6 so you can drive to the college. An hour ago you were thinking about pulling and all nighter but then remembered the party that's tomorrow. You're unsure how it will turn out but you just really don't want your parents to go because it's probably not going to be a very family friendly venue.

You start school next Thursday. That's the real reason why you're writing this is so that you can remember. You always did have a soft spot for writing but you were too realistic and knew you couldn't make a living out of it.

As of right now your plan is to just get through this year so that you can get through the next 4 years of you life so you can get through the rest of your life.

Promise me you'll make this year fun? And do some scary and fun crap that it can turn it to one of those "I'll tell you when you're older" story that every parent has for their kids.

As of this moment you want to be a firefighter. You like working with your hands and what to get out of school as soon as possible but you'll have a good time no matter where you end up kid.

Enjoy these last 5 days of summer. Make em count

-a letter to me.
