Dear Sam,
Today is technically your last day of summer before you start your senior year of high school.
You really have made these days count.
On Monday you went to Busch Gardens with your sister* and had an amazing time. Your legs felt like they we broken by the end of the day but it was completely worth it. You missed your class cookout but it was at a lake and you hate swimming so you don't feel too bad about it.
On Tuesday you had orientation where before you went to lunch with some friends. You found out you only have 3 teachers because you have the same one for government and capstone and he's going to be great.
After you went to get drinks with a lot more people. You thought you best friend was kidnapped because he said he was going outside and then never came back it. You tried calling but he never answered. Turns out was fine he just had to go into work.
After everyone left you were there with two good friends and one came out to you as bisexual and by that time you thought it was okay to tell them about yourself too and it was great. They were completely excepting. You told them you wanted to be called Sam and one of them was like "okay" and immediately took their phone out and changed your contact. You're still happy about that.
Later that night you got your butt kicked at fighter practice by the new girl who left you with some pretty epic bruises.
Last day of your last high school summer is tomorrow/ today and you don't know how to feel about that. On one had you are ready to move on but at the same time you don't want to leave your friends and what you've know literally your whole life.
It'll be okay. remember- 'good vibes' says the smile face you drew on your car windshield.
-a letter to me.
