-Alyssa's POV-

I'm not sure how long it's been since the day I met Harry. I stopped counting after day 3.

I kept telling myself that every encounter was a coincidence. First, I told myself that an extra painkiller had caused hallucinations. Then, I convinced myself that it was just a normal guy who resembled the criminal. Of course, I hadn't stayed long enough to get a better look.

It wasn't until he had made physical contact that I stopped telling myself lies. He grabbed my arm and glared me in the eyes, long enough to shatter whatever hope I had left. He didn't say anything, just stared, and then walked away.

That was the day I went into a state of depression. The day I went insane. The day I met Harry Styles.

Now, I'm sitting alone in my room, not wanting to get out of bed and start the new day. Everything seems so pointless now. It was apparent that this offender wanted me and I can't help but feel like he never fails to get what he wants.

And that terrifies me.

Every task at hand, every plan made, it all seemed pointless. He would catch me anyways so why try to achieve the goals I've always had set for myself.

I hear a shuffle in the hallway seconds before my dad gently cracks my door open.

"Darling, I'm not sure what has happened to you, but I think you need to get out of the house." I let out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding in. "It's not good to be cooped up in the house all the time, nonetheless in your bedroom."

I felt bad for my dad. It wasn't his fault I'm this way now, he's only wanted the best for me.

I sigh before finally finding the words to say.

"I guess I could ask Liam if he wants to do something today," I said, silently hoping Liam would decline the offer.

Liam has asked a couple times since then if I wanted to go out. Considering I usually decline his kind offers, I'm sure he'll be quite surprised when the words come out of my mouth.

My father smiles a 'thank you' as I grab my phone to check the time. I have 15 messages and I decide to leave them all unread, afraid they're all from Harry. It's 10:54 so if I move quickly enough, Liam and I could eat a decent lunch together.

I quickly take a shower and get dressed to make myself look as if I haven't been in bed for days upon days. It works to my advantage as the only sign is slight bags under my eyes.

I grab my phone and dial Liam's number into the keypad. When he answers, his voice is groggy, showing signs of sleep.

"Hello?" he slurs. I quickly respond by telling him my ideas for lunch.

"Sure, I'd love too," he says. It sounds like he didn't get very much sleep. "Give me about an hour to get ready, and I'll come pick you up in my moms car."

We say our goodbye's and my phone goes right back on my nightstand. Deciding I didn't want to sit here and do nothing for an hour, I grab the remote and turn on the tv set up in my room.

As promised, Liam arrives in about an hour. I quickly grab my phone and put my shoes on and head out to get in the car.

"Where we goin'?" I asked, as soon as I was settled in the passenger seat. "There's a small restaurant on the other side of town that I've been wanting you to see." He says, smiling as he talks. "I think you'll like it."

We both remain quiet for the rest of the ride. I spend a majority of it paying attention to the sky. Mother Nature isn't excited about my venture into the outdoors any more than I am. The skies are dark with large rain clouds hovering over us.
