- Alyssa's POV -

"Hello?" I answered, my voice wavering slightly.

"Did you get my text, darling?" I paused momentarily, realizing that the deep voice talking through the phone was the same person who had sent me that random message. Maybe it wasn't Liam after all.

My mind began scrambling with all of the worst possibilities.

Ignoring his question, I said the first thing my mind could process. "Who is this?" I questioned with a demanding tone. There was silence, for quite awhile.

Slowly but surely, the threat came through the small speakers in my phone. I could feel the voice's vibrations in my fingertips as he spoke with a low, raspy tone.

"Your worst nightmare."

I shot up in my  bed, covered in sweat and my heart filled with panic. A loud ringing sound filled my ears as my eyes darted around the room in terror trying to find the cause of the noise.

My eyes focused on my nightstand as I realized my dad was calling my phone. I quickly snatched the device from its place and took a deep breath before I swiped my finger to answer the call.

"Morning!" my dad's cheery voice greeted me on the phone. The tone his voice carried out was enough to calm my nerves.

"Morning dad", I said, sounding a lot less cheery. "Whatcha need?"

"I was just wondering if  you could run some errands for me today." he said, timidity rimming his voice. He doesn't always like asking me to do things for him, even if I was perfectly okay with it.

He rambled off three different places he needed me to go and I wrote all of the information down on a list. After I had everything written down, we quietly said our goodbye's to each other.

I threw my phone down on my bed as I swung my legs over to the side to get up and ready. Before I began my daily routine, I took some pain killers to relieve the headache that my nightmare had summoned.

Afterwards, I quickly got dressed, straightened my hair and put a bit of mascara on. I slipped on my high top converse and walked over by the fridge to retrieve my keys.

As I grabbed them, I noticed a note on the fridge.

Left to visit my girlfriend, I'll be back later tonight.

Liam

I had almost forgotten that Liam stayed the night last night.

I threw the note away and hopped into my Jeep. Before I even started the car, my phone was plugged into the auxiliary port.

The first stop I needed to make was to WalMart to get oil for my dads car. I wasn't sure what I was looking for but he put as much detail as possible into telling me which one to get.

As I was looking at the selection of oils, I saw someone standing at the end of the aisle, staring in my direction. I turned my head to examine who it was and saw a glimpse of his face.

The bottle in my hands fell to the ground when I processed what I'd just seen. It couldn't have been Harry. He wouldn't recognize me, after all, he only saw me once.

I quickly picked up the yellow Penzoil bottle when I came to the realization that others were now staring at me with somewhat concerned faces. I walked as fast as I could to the check out line and quickly left the parking lot of the store.

As I was driving to the bank for my next stop, I couldn't help but think about Harry.  I also thought about the text I got from that random number. Could that have been Harry?

I'd like to think that it's impossible and that there's no way he could have gotten my number, but we all know that's not true. He escaped out of the most heavily guarded prison in the world and still hasn't been caught by the cops. I mean if he can do that, who am I to say that he's unable to obtain my phone number.

Just the thought of him knowing where I am frightens me to the core. I've seen plenty of Lifetime movies and I know what kind of crazy people are out there.

One of my worst fears about this whole thing, is leaving my father alone. He took the divorce kind of hard, even though he knows he's better without my mom. I don't think he'd be able to handle it if I was gone.

A loud honk from behind me removes me from my thoughts as I realize the stoplight in front of me is green.

I looked in my rear view mirror to wave a small apology to the car behind me but my hand freezes mid-air as I see him again. My breathing hitches and I slam my foot down on the gas.

I arrive at the bank and quickly hand in the check that my dad requested me to cash. I was tapping my foot impatiently the entire time, wishing the bank teller would move faster. She finally finishes and I move as fast as I can.

On the drive to my last stop, my nerves begin to subside. I finally arrive at Hungry Hobo to pick up lunch for my dad and I.

As I walk in a small bell jingles, indicating that I've entered the building. I look around at my surroundings and breathe in the aroma of the sandwiches. I order mine and my dad's food and I scoot down to the register to pay.

I rummage through my wallet trying to find the right amount of money. I finally look up, extending my arm to the cashier. My jaw practically drops to the floor as I see a smirk on the one face I've grown to hate.

I felt the color run out of my face as the man asks me if I'm okay. I can't even shake my head to answer this tormentor. I snatch the sandwiches off of the counter and run out the door, causing the bells to ring louder than when I entered.

I got in my Jeep and slammed the car door, turning my key as fast as I could to start the car. I revved the engine and took off trying to get as far away from the building as possible.

After I got a good distance away from the restaurant, I stopped on the side of the road to regain my composure. I took big, deep breaths hoping it would slow my heart rate a bit, allowing me to focus on what just happened.

I sat for at least 10 minutes before I finally came to a sensible conclusion.

This morning before I got ready, I took like three pain killers trying to get rid of my headache. On a normal basis, I only take two. The extra pill must have affected me more than I thought it would and caused me to have hallucinations.

I finally felt at peace as I resolved the monstrosity of the situation I was experiencing. I let out one big sigh of relief as I pulled back onto the road and headed home.

The rest of my day went uninterrupted. I made it home perfectly fine and enjoyed the delicious sandwiches with my dad.

Afterwards we watched a couple movies and enjoyed the time we shared between the two of us. I went to bed shortly after, letting the music in my headphones soothe me until I laid my mind to rest after a long day.
