Maya's POV
I wake up sweaty, confused, and hungry. A normal morning to Maya Hart. I get out of bed and head straight to the bathroom.
I do my regular routine of brushing my teeth, brush my hair
And take a quick shower. After getting changed I went
toward the kitchen. Mom left a note on the fridge, she went to work early as per usual.
I grab myself a granola bar and walk out the door while grabing my bookbag.
I walked to Rileys apartment and buzzed in. Soon after Riley opened the door. After she said bye to her family we went off to school. We talked about summer being around the corner. She seemed excited. Who wouldn't be? Other then that we were both goin to summer camp together. Even Farkle and Lucas were joining.
"It's going to be so much fun! We'll go explore, go under the stars-" Riley was soon interrupted br Farkle.
"Don't forget about Mosquitos, no air conditioning, and bad food." Farkle said. Riley laughed and opened her locker.
"But we're all going to be together for the summer!" Riley glanced at me and nodded her head. "Maya, you agree, right?"
"Of course I do." I say after grabbing a notebook out of my locker, "Not only are we together, but we can finally say goodbye to school." I grinned. Riley looked at me and Farkle, she smiled and headed towards the class room after closing her locker.
Lucas soon arrived. "Hey cowboy why are you late?" I said. He smile at me and then looked at Riley. Riley stared back. He loomed at her weirdly. Riley looked at me with piercing eyes, her glisfal smile reawakening my attention.
"Maya. Me and Lucas are a thing now."
I don't know why I had this weird feeling in my chest. I was happy for her, but I just couldn't express it the way I wanted to. I looked at Lucas, "You're dating Riley?" I asked him. He nodded, I smiled. "Take care of her hunkle berry fin." And that's how the lie all started.
