Flames & Keys ( Fairy Tail [Natsu x Lucy] fanfiction ) *Nalu oneshots*

Cake

"Lucy, where are you going ?" Natsu asks.

"Sssshh Natsu, we're having a surprise party for Wendy, and I'm in charge of baking her cake, so I need to slip away now to go home."

"Can I help?"

Lucy isn't exactly sure that letting Natsu help is a good idea, especially if it involves something in the kitchen.

"Natsu, it's probably... not a good idea..." she mumbles.

"Please !"

"Natsu... no..."

"Why ?"

"You'll either end up destroying my kitchen, eating the cake, or both."

"Lucy ! I promise I won't ! " Natsu begs.

"Oh alright... if you insist, but I'm warning you ! You have to listen to me !"

"It's a deal !"

"Lucy... is the cake done yet ?"

"No Natsu, it isn't, be patient."

"But I want to eat it !"

"You can't !"

"Lucy... that's mean !" and with that, Natsu picks up some dough and tosses it at Lucy, who screams.

"Oh, you want to play it this way huh ?" Lucy mutters irritably, and with a glint in her eyes, she grabs an egg and aims it at Natsu, who got hit right in the face.

"Take that Lucy !"

"Natsu ! You're finished !"

Hours later, one can find both mages in Lucy's kitchen, all dirty with food from head to toe. The kitchen, once looking as perfect as ever, looks like a disaster zone.

"Natsu..."

"Yes Lucy ?"

"You idiot, look at this mess."

"Ah."

Lucy can't really bring herself to get angry at the pinkette. He is after all, very endearing to her.

"Oh no ! I hope Mira has a spare cake !"

"Uh..."

"Oh Natsu... damn it."

Back in the guild, Mira lets out a small chuckle and takes out a beautifully made cake.

"Hmm, knowing Lucy and Natsu... something probably is going to happen, and Lucy will never finish her cake." Mira says to herself, giggling.

How right she is.

I have half a chapter written for Captive though, and I'll get around to finishing it once I feel like it. :)
