I'm Here To Get You Through Everything

I woke up, the sheets tangled around my body. In my sleep, I must have slipped from my position against Vic's chest, because I'm lying on my back with Vic beside me, one arm stretched over my torso, the other clutching my arm. My legs are between both of his and our hair has knotted together.

I turn my head and look at the clock, it's only six a.m. I lie there contentedly, listening to Vic's breathing. My eyes shut again and I doze, my head falling to the side. I felt Vic's breath mingling with mine, and I wrinkled my nose at his morning breath.

But at least you're waking up next to him again.

I sighed and agreed with the know-it-all voice in my head.

And your's can't be any better.

I laughed out loud and covered my mouth with both hands, disturbing Vic's sleeping position. He groaned and rolled around, waking up. I watched his familiar movements, his hands going up to his eyes to rub the dirt from them. I reached over and brushed his hair away from his face for him, giving his now revealed forehead a kiss.

'Good morning.' I said, smiling and looking into his refreshed, brilliant brown eyes.

'Morning Kellin.' He replied, yawning widely. I copied him, annoyed that he had made me yawn. He started laughing as I glared at him, my mouth wide enough to swallow a whale whole. My yawn finished with, I rolled on top of him, my hands either side of his head, and my legs straddling his torso.

'Not so funny now, is it?' I said triumphantly. I felt him squirm under me, and his hands wandered up and under my shirt. He smirked up at me and started tickling. I shrieked and dropped like a rock, squashing him.

'Hey! Get off!' He complained, wriggling around.

'You tickled me, so there.' I said, grinning as his hands quickly slipped out from under my shirt. He pushed me off him and I tumbled back to my side of the bed. We lay there quietly for a few seconds, listening to each other. I reached out and grabbed his hand, interlocking our fingers. I rubbed my thumb in circles into the side of his hand, feeling the delicate bones of his index finger beneath my skin.

God, I love you so much, Vic.

'I love you too, Kellin.' Vic said, breaking the silence. I blinked. What?

'Did - did I say that out loud?' I said, terrified. What if I blurted stuff I thought all the time? There would be absolute chaos!

'Yes, you did.' Vic said. 'It's nice to know that you love me, though.' He said, looking over at me.

'I never stopped loving you, Vic.' I said abruptly.

'After everything I put you through? How could, I mean can you still love me?'

I thought for a few seconds about my answer. Was there an answer? I exhaled. This was way too hard to think about. What about reasons why I loved him? I pondered for a moment and my brain couldn't form a coherent sentence.

'Kellin?' Vic said. He didn't sound close. My mouth opened and I gave him my long-awaited answer.

'Love isn't a thought, or a feeling. Once you love someone, you never stop loving them. Because it's not a chemical that makes you feel that way. You don't experience love. You become love. It's a part of you. A piece of that person attaches itself to your soul, and no matter what, it never leaves. You can't force it to leave, anything that happens can't change it's mind because your soul knows the way. That is love, and I love you.' I said. I looked over to him, and his mouth was open. I smiled at him, and kissed his nose.

'Come on. Breakfast won't cook itself.'

A/N Okay. Hate me all you want for the short update and the long wait. I'm sorry. First week back at school and damn... It was so busy. On the weekend I had Relay For Life, and I am so tired! And my muscles hurt like hell. So I have a day off school and updating is going to be my priority today. :)

I also wanted this to be a short chapter so I could give Kells reason for loving Vic :) AWWW
