Evie
I pulled away slowly, then put my fingertips to my lips. I blinked once and looked at him.
'No.' I blurted. 'Never again. That did not feel right.' I drew my hands back from around his neck. I remembered every inch of the kiss. He had held my waist, and trailed his fingers over my lower back. I had wrapped my arms around his neck in an effort to get into the kiss. I had reached up on tiptoes to reach him properly. Our lips met, and nothing. He was attractive, I guess, just not my type.
'I'm sorry.' I said meekly.
'Don't be sorry, Evie!' He exclaimed. 'How about we go clubbing tonight and find ourselves both girls?' The younger Fuentes brother smiled down at me. I would never have felt comfortable kissing Kellin, so when the boys finally came back from tour Mike had stepped up for the place.
'That sounds good.' I said. A huge weight had been lifted off my chest, and I felt so much better without it.
'Damn, that's a nice introduction. Do I get a kiss too?' Jaime asked, holding out his hand.
'No, sorry. Girls only from now on.' I said, taking his hand and shaking it. 'And you're Tony, yeah?' I asked, turning to the guy behind Mike. He nodded and Mike spoke up.
'He doesn't talk much. He's so shy.' He ruffled his hair and Tony scowled at him. 'But that's okay. He's my introvert.' Mike kissed his forehead.
'Another couple?' I asked no one.
'Nah, they're just the closest of friends who may or may not be with benefits on tour.' The last guy said.
'Vic!' I yelled, jumping into his arms. 'I've heard so much about you it isn't funny! I feel like I've known you for years.' Vic laughed at my bubbly attitude and returned my fierce hug.
'I've heard heaps about you too. I promise it's been all good.' He replied.
'Would you like to come in for a drink or something? You guys must be tired.' Kellin said, motioning towards the house. Vic smiled sweetly at him and nodded. The other guys politely declined, sharing a knowing look when Kellin's eyes were averted.
'Evie?' Kellin asked. All eyes were on me, and Mike came foward and nudged my arm. I finally got what they were hinting at.
'Uh, no thanks. I stayed the night at your place, I really don't want to intrude. Besides, Mikey and I have shopping for tonight!' I linked my arm with Mike's and started to gently pull him away from the couple.
'Okay, see you Evie.' Kellin blew me a kiss, and I "caught" it and slipped it into a pocket. I blew him back one and continued on my way to the shops.
Kellin
I watched as Evie familiarised herself with the band members. It was interesting, the way she interacted with them. But I, mainly, only had eyes for Vic. I hadn't been this close in his presence for roughly a month. He was right there, but so far away too. My heart twinged when Eviehugged him before me. But we would have all the time in the world later. Everyone left, Evie catching my kiss and vice versa. Vic had already entered the house. I ran inside after him, leaving the door open.
'Vic?' I called. I walked into the kitchen, but on failing to find him there, panicked. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me from behind.
'Hey baby.' He whispered in my ear. 'I've missed you.' He slid his hands under my shirt and traced my sides with his long fingers. 'I've missed touching your skin.' I leaned back against him and he rested his head on my shoulder. 'I've missed resting my head on your body and holding you against me.'
'That's a lot of things to miss.' I said, smiling.
'You're my whole world. Of course there's a lot to miss.' My heart fluttered.
'I've missed giving you kisses in the morning, and waking up in your embrace.' I said, turning around and resting my forehead on his, our noses touching. 'I've missed having a heart, because you take it with you.' Vic tilted his head up and our lips met. We didn't kiss though. We just let them rest against each other. I could feel his heartbeat through his lips. I made the first move, I couldn't take it anymore. I pushed my lips against his with a bit more force, and he responded eagerly. I parted my lips slightly and traced his back with my fingers. We broke apart.
'I love you,' I said, giving his forehead a kiss.
'I love you too.' Vic replied. He pulled back and ran his hands down my arms so that we were holding hands. 'Now, how about that drink?'
I made us hot chocolate and we sat on the couch, talking.
'What did you get up to on tour?' I asked, resting my hot chocolate on the table in front of us. Vic's legs rested on my lap.
'You already know everything.'
'Yeah, but I want to hear you say it in person. My Skype lagged.' I wheedled. Vic sighed but smiled over at me.
'I talked to you, I played shows, I went to signings, I participated in interviews. Is that what you wanted to hear?'
'No! Everything.'
'I wrote some more lyrics and music.'
'Can you play something for me?'
'Not yet. It isn't ready.' Vic said, smiling again, lifting his cup up to his face.
